Leo> How are you doing? Usually people move from small screen to big screen but you have moved from big to small screen. What is the reason behind that?
Chandana Sharma> There is no reason as such because it was not a planned move. I did a few Bengali films because my mom was a very famous Bengali film actress (Anjana Sharma). After that I did a world travel show which gave me the opportunity to travel all round the world. Around that time I got an offer for Yeh Dil Chahe More . I felt it was a very young and youthful show which was quite different from what was happening on TV.

Fool> Why did you accepted your role in Yeh Dil Chahe More ? What was special about it?
Chandana Sharma> Like I said it is a youthful show and nothing of this sought is happening on TV. Moreover playing the character 'Tara' was a challenge because she had all the different shades in her.

Sssss> Are you enjoying your new role in Yeh Dil Chahe More ? Are you very choosy about what assignments you take? Or you just take whatever comes your way?
Chandana Sharma> I am extremely choosy about the kind of roles I pick up. So far the experience with the show has been good. And I love working with the people I am working with.

Bindaas> What sort of portrayals do you personally prefer to do?
Chandana Sharma> I haven't really thought of any particular role that I can call my dream role but 'Tara' is quite close to what I wanted to do. Other than that I would love to do something like 'Sound Music' and if it's a Hindi film then something similar to the movie 'Black'.

Sssss> You have worked in both films and tele-serials. Which one do you like the most and why?
Chandana Sharma> Both the mediums are different. They have their own flavor. TV requires a lot of time and handwork. Films on the other hand are still slower in pace, so the pressure is less. I have enjoyed both the mediums and cannot choose one of them. But at the end of the day every actress will want to see herself on the big screen.

Beauty> Among the roles that you've played which is your favorite character and why?
Chandana Sharma> I would not say anything is my favorite but the one which is very close to my heart is Aditi of Just Mohhabat . It was my first TV serial and it was the first teenage love story of its kind. People still remember me by that character's name.

Greatdame> How do you improve on your acting? Do you think you have progressed as an actor from your Just Mohhabat days?
Chandana Sharma> I think I have matured as a person since Just Mohabaat and one should always try to learn from the experiences one goes through in their life and try and in cooperate it in the same. I do feel I have a come a long way since Just Mohabbat but then it is the audience who will decide whether I have improved as an actress or not.

Beauty> Tell us about the off screen Chandana. If she had not been a TV actor she would be?
Chandana Sharma> I am extremely short tempered and very sensitive. I like making new friends and love traveling. If not an actor, I would have opened an animal shelter or done something for the kids.

Anuja> Is marriage on cards? Who is your ideal man?
Chandana Sharma> Yes marriage is definitely on my cards but not now. I do have somebody in my life and he is trying to be as perfect as he can. I don't think there is anything called an ideal man because nobody is perfect. But I think Shahrukh Khan is quite close to being perfect!
