Part-8

All reached the society. Adiru were tired. Raman told Rinki to take them up, she left. Ishita came out of the car and was going towards her flat while Raman parked the car and then was going towards his flat only to see Ishita sitting on the bench lost in her thoughts while her eyes were filled and hurt was written on her face. He could easily think that Shagun must have told something to her in party that’s why she was looking disturbed after meeting Shagun. He went to her and sat beside her. He was looking at her only but she was totally lost in her thoughts and grief to acknowledge his presence. He placed his hand on her shoulder breaking her trance. She looked at him and tried to hide her tears and sadness.

I - Raman, main vo bas.. hawa achchi chal rhi thi to socha.. Ab main chalti hu, kafi der ho gayi hai..

She said getting up but he called her softly and stopped,

R - Ishita.. Sit down.

Ishita didn’t react and was still standing turning her face. Raman held her hand and asked her to sit. She was still standing quietly and trying to control her emotions when he said,

R - No need to hide your tears and your feelings. Did you forget, we had shared each others’ grief and pain at the hardest time of our lives. To ab kyu chupane ki koshish Kar rhi ho? Ishita..

Ishita sat and tears started flowing from her eyes while she was looking down.

R - Ishita, look at me. Why are you behaving like this? Remember we are friends.

Ishita nodded but didn’t look at him.

R - What did Shagun tell you?

He asked directly, seeing her not in a state to tell him, making her look at him.

R - So I was right. She told you something which is hurting you.

Ishita nodded looking away.

R - If she told you something then it must be only rubbish. Why are you getting affected by her words? You only told me once that agar hum kahe ki kisi person ki hamari life mein koi jagah nhi hai to hamare dil mein uske liye koi feeling nhi honi chahiye aur na hi uski presence aur absence aur shabdo se fark padna chahiye to ab tum itna disturbed kyu ho uski bakwas sunkar. OK tell me, kya kaha usne tumse?

Ishita looked at him and was thinking to tell him the truth or not, does it really matter for them or not, do people around them also think like that about them and their relationship, did they overlooked their relationship in giving the best to Adiru, did they forget the difference between right and wrong in front of society. Like this, many questions were arising in her mind making her confused. She thought that she shouldn’t tell him at this moment as she knew very well that he would be mad at her. He asked her again and she said,

I - I don't want to talk about it now. Please..

R - Okay. But remember whenever you feel to share it with me, just one call and I shall be there. Okay?

Ishita nodded wiping her tears. He started talking to her randomly trying to change her mood. Soon she also started talking forgetting shagun. Both walked there for some time then left to their own houses. Raman was thinking about Ishita, what shagun told her which disturbed her so much and made her even cry. On the other side, Ishita again started thinking of Shagun's words and their lives from the beginning.

Next day started as usual. Ishita was better than before. She thought a lot and finally came to the conclusion that she should tell Raman about the previous day incident plus they need to to talk. She was at clinic. In after noon, she messaged him that she wanted to talk to him at night. He agreed.

At night, both met in his room only after dinner. Ishita told him how Shagun talked to her and used bad words for her making him angry.

R - Are you mad? She misbehaved with you and you are telling me now. You should have told me there only, I would have taught her a good lesson that time only. But don't worry, late is better than never. I'll not leave her. How dare she talk to you like that? Abhi jakar usse batatu hu....

He was going out angrily but she stood in front of him, stopping him.

I - Raman, calm down…

R - You stupid lady. First, she tried to make you look down but you kept silent and even cried. Second, when I asked you straightforwardly even by taking her name then also you didn’t think it necessary to tell me and now when you told me and I badly want to answer her then also you are telling me to calm down. How can I sit silent? And I can’t understand, tu madrassan, jhansi ki rani mujhe itna kuch suna deti hai, har bat ka palat kar jawab deti hai aur jab us Shagun ko jawab dena chahiye tha to chup chap sun kar aa gayi. How can you?

I (frustrated) - So what should I do?

She said and started weeping at her helplessness. Raman cooled down his temper seeing her crying and thought that she needed him first then he would think anything else. He made her sit on the couch and himself sat in front of her on the table. He held her by her shoulder and said softly,

R - Ishita, please stop crying. I’m sorry. I didn’t try to understand the situation from your point of view. Hey, Ishita please..

He said, giving her tissue paper. It took him a few minutes to stop her crying and then asked,

R - Ab batayegi, tu ro kyu rhi thi? Arey galat vo hai tu….

I (interrupting him) - Kya hum bilkul bhi galat nhi hai?

She asked looking at him sincerely while he looked at her keenly and endeavoured to understand the meaning of her words.

R - What are you trying to say?

I (looking at Adiru’s pic) - Adi aur Ruhi ko aapne sab kuch dia, unhone maanga ho ya maange se pehle. Lekin unhe hamesha ke liye khush rakhne ke liye hum jo bhi kar rhe hai vo thik hai?

Raman was understanding the meaning of her words but wanted a confirmation so asked,

R - Ishita, say it clearly. Kya matlab hai tumhara? Kya thik nhi kar rhe hai hum.

I - Adi aur Ruhi mujhe IshiMa kehte hai..

She said, in a sotto voce, looking down and stressing on “Ma”. The atmosphere became awkward between them. Both of them remained silent for a few minutes. Then Raman said after thinking,

R - Listen Ishita, this is not a new thing… I mean Adi aur Ruhi tumhe Ishima saalo se bula rhe hai. Aur… isse pehle bhi society mein kuch logo ne ungli uthane ki koshish ki thi par hamare liye unse jyada hamare bache important hai…

I - Aapke bache..

R - Oh, to ab Shagun ne kaha to tumhara pyar unke liye kam ho gaya..

I - Kam nhi hua hai aur na hi hoga par…

R - Ishita, koi bhi kuch bhi bole, humhe na pehle fark padta tha aur na kabhi padega..

I - Koi bhi nhi… She is your… I mean she is the mother of Adi and Ruhi..

R - Yes, the mother who never cared about them, she was always interested in having a luxurious life and now when she saw that me and my children are living happily without her, so she couldn’t digest the fact. You are unnecessarily getting worried..

I - Adi aur Ruhi abhi chote hai, vo nhi samajh sakte. Apni birthday party mein jab vo mujhe Ishima kehte hai apne friends ke saamne to abhi to sirf unke parents sawal karte hai humse, hum handle bhi karte hai par jab vo bade honge, agar unke yeh sawal unse karenge to.. To kya vo koi jawab de paayenge.. ki unke parents alag ho chuke hai aur vo kisi aur ko IshiMa bulate hai..

R - Kisi aur ko? Like really Ishita, you are not a random person in our life. You took care of them when they needed the most, when their own mother was using them for her own interests even, I was so disturbed and worried. That time, you were the one who gave the mother love and care to them aur Ruhi.. usse to sirf tumhari hi mamta mili hai. Tumne na sirf un dono ki sambhala par mujhe bhi to ek ache friend ki tarah hamesha support kia motivate kai.

I - Ma ka pyar dene mein aur ma hone mein difference hota hai Raman.

R - Tum pagal wagal ho gayi ho.. Aakhir chahti kya ho? Isiliye tumhe har bar us Shagun aur us jaise logo se dur rakhte the hum kyonki tumhare emotions jag jate hai.. Ishita, listen to me carefully. Aaj ho ya aane wala kal, Adi aur Ruhi ke sath tumhara rishta kabhi nhi badal sakta aur un dono mein hamari di hui seekh hai, aur tum bhool gayi, vo dono to meri bhi class le lete hai agar main tumhe thoda sa bhi kuch keh du, to vo kisi aur ko kaise chod denge. They will be capable of handling the situation rather than running away. Now stop worrying unnecessarily and wipe your tears, agar galti se bhi un dono ne dekh liya to meri to lag jaayegi..

Raman said smiling lightly trying to change the atmosphere and wiped tears from the corner of her eyes while Ishita smiled at his words.

R - Vaise aaj kal kuch jyada hi nhi ho rha hai unka.

I - Bilkul nhi. Aapke sath to aisa hi hona chahiye.

R - Yeh thik hai.. Tumne hi un dono ko badhava dia hai.

Raman saw her again in her thoughts so asked, shaking her.

R - Ab kya soch rhi ho?

I - Adi aur Ruhi ko ek ma ki jarurat hai..

R - Ishita..

I -- Raman main sirf..

R - Kyu tum unhe chod kar ja rhi ho.. ha ja bhi sakti ho. It’s your life..

I - It’s not about me only. You always say that you don’t need a wife for you but your children need a mother and your parents need a DIL.

R - Aisa kuch nhi hone wala hai..

I - Think from your parents’ point of view and your whole family.

Raman looked at her.

I - And before you say, I’m telling you that I also said yes to Amma for marriage for my parents’ sake. Mujhe Bala jiju ki bat sahi lagi, we can’t overlook our parents’ happiness just because of our bad past. Vo log to khush hai aoni life mein to hum kyu nhi And we wanted, success.. mil gayi aur mil rhi hai. We have our happiness so why can’t we give our parents’ happiness to them. Rest.. let just leave all this to destiny without expecting anything. Jo kismat mein hoga vo mil jaayega. Mila to sahi nhi mila to bhi sahi. You were thinking to talk to Simmi about it but first try it in your own life. Okay?

R - Amazing.. Lecture queen.

Ishita hit him.

R - Sach. Tumhe to counsellor hona chahiye tha.

I - Aur aapko natak company mein.

R - Vaise apne writer ko kabhi is taraf bhi bhej dia karo, apne employees ko ek lecture dena hai encourage karne ke liye, sare nalayak ho gaye hai, kam par dhyan hi nhi hai.

I - Nhi, us par sirf mera copyright hai.

R - Okay, ab main kam kar lu thoda..

I (smiled) - sure. Whole place is yours. I’m taking you leave. Good night and Thank you so much..

R (smiling back) - Pleasure is mine. Good night.

Ishita left relieved while Raman did some work and then he was in bed to sleep but her words were ringing in his mind. He thought to talk to his family the next day and to teach Shagun a nice lesson for using such bad words for Ishita so that she will not trouble Ishita as he knew her very well, right now, he assured her but deep inside, such thoughts are always there in her mind which can come out anytime.

Next day, Raman talked to his parents and told them that he is ready for marriage but the girl should be able to take care of ADIru making their parents happy. Adi was big enough to understand such thing for some extent so Raman talked to him also and assured him from his side. He got ready for the day and went out of the house.

He reached parking lot and saw Ishita standing near his car. He looked here and there then said,

R - Madrassan, teri tuti futi car udhar hai, yeh meri car hai.

I - I know.

R - To idhar aise pose banakar kyu khadi hai, hat mujhe office ke liye late ho rha hai.

Adiru also came and greeted Ishita.

I - good morning Adi Rooh. Aap dono andar baitho, papa do minute mein aa rhe hai.

Both kids went.

R - Kya hua?

I - Aaj aapke kya plans hai?

R - Kuch khas nhi, abhi ek meeting hai phir office then lunch ke bad meeting hai. but why are you asking?

I - Abhi meeting office mein hai?

R - Nhi..

I - I asked Mihir, aapki koi meeting nhi hai abhi. Where are you going?

R - Mihir ka bacha, tumhara chamcha hai. Ishita, main tumse jhooth bolna nhi chahta aur btana bhi nhi chahta..

I - Shagun se milne ja rhe ho na.

R - Ha Kyu nhi milna chahiye, usse to...

I - Raman please don't go. Leave it. lets just forget it. She wanted to disturbed us and if you will go and answer her back, she will be succeeded.

R - Oh to usne jo kia uske liye usee aise hi chod du..

I - Okay. Is bar chod do.. next time if she will repeat it, I promise, I'll not leave her and shall not stop you too for doing anything. Please..

R - Okay. Fine. one last time.

I (smiling) - Thank you so much..

R - It's ok. Now May I go?

I - Kya Raman, abhi tak yahi khade ho? Adi aur Ruhi late ho jaayenge. Go.

She said and left smiling while he also smiled and left taking kids.
