Shot One
RamanIshita walked out of the coffee shop hand in hand and waved each other bye to go off to their respective workplaces.
Raman was working on a powerpoint presentation when Mihircame over to his cabin to pick up a file. He noticed a big smile on his RamanBhai’s face and couldn’t help but ask what resulted in this miracle. He settled on a chair just opposite to Raman and said “wow Bhai, aap toh chehak rahe hain aaj, koi khaas baat hai kya?”
Raman’s joy knew no bounds today. He felt satisfied with this decision of his Papaji and wanted to get home immediately and thank him for making the best decision.
“Mihir aaj zindagi phir ek baar khush hone ka mauka de rahihai. Papaji ne yeh decide kiya hai ke meri aur Ishita ki shaadi honi hai.”
Mihir was happy to know but he felt a certain amount of shock too. Afterall, Raman and Ishita never saw eye to eye and today their alliance was fixed. It was a little weird to digest. Nonetheless, Mihir was glad his Bhai had found a woman who could prove to be his ideal wife.
“Bhai main aapke liye bahut khush hoon. In fact, this is the best news but aapko nahi lagta ke bahut se aisi baatein hain jo aapko Ishita jike saath clarify karni hain. Aap ne unko unknowingly bahut galat baatein kahin hain… aap ko achi tarah unse apologise karna chaiye aur phir relationship koaage le jaana chaiye.”
Raman concurred with Mihir’s words. That moment in which he rebuked Ishita for not having a child of her own and getting unnecessarily close to Ruhi, flashed in front of him. He felt guilty and wanted to clarify with Ishitathat it did not matter to him whether or not Ishita could conceive a child.
Raman immediately got up from his chair, pat Mihir on his shoulder, as though to applaud him, and rushed out of the office. Mihir watched over with a wide smile.
Raman went to the local florist and picked up a bouquet of lilies. He drove back home and rang her doorbell. Mihika opened the door and greeted Raman politely. Ramangently asked if Ishita was at home and Mihika told him she had gone to the clinic, would be back by 5 pm, hopefully. He requested Mihika to tell Ishita he had come and to especially hand her these lilies.
Ishita returned home after a tiring day and requested Amma for filter coffee. Amma happily obliged whilst Mihika dragged Ishita to her room. “enna Miku?” Ishita asked irritated.
Mihika forwarded the bouquet to Ishita and her frown immediately disappeared and she smiled from ear to ear looking at the little note stuck between the lilies.
That's it for shot 1. I know it is short and may appear disjointed but please do give it a read and give your likes and feedback. Thank you.
