Owkay....today was an episode full of roller coaster emotions.
Some things are abundantly clear. Chiru is definitely not the hero of the show. The poor thing is the collateral damage needed to make the male protagonist suit the track.
Chiru till date has always been the favoured child of both families. He is sound, reliable and responsible. Respectful towards elders and intelligent in business, he is perfect in characterization. So was Arjun in Mahabharat but his crisis came when it was his family he had to fight against. Similarly Chiru faced a whole different challenge today, something not external but from his own family - his mother. He is stuck between a rock and a hard spot with no where to go. Whatever he chooses, he will always be a loser.
Always being lauded as the right guy with right decisions and with his words always being agreed to, he finds it impossible to be in a situation where he is the central point of misery and heartbreak. He never expected to face something like this and as expected, the glass like beauty of his character shattered in pain and anguish; carefully held together by his brother.
Sayuri for all her attitude is someone who is definitely stronger than Chiru. She understands sacrifice and can choose to do it. Chiru could barely confess their relationship and would have probably delayed had Kanha not interfered. But Sayuri took the bold decision to step back and with this she takes the reins of the story only to share it with, not her love Chiru, but bee childhood nemesis.
"Bhai ka janti hun par bhai aur maa ko ek saath sambhal payega ki nahi
"Ham sambhal lenge. Jitni tum se nafrat karte hain utna in se pyar karte hain. Sambhal lenge, isiliye tension mat lo. Bharosa rakho Kanha par!"
"Kia. Aj Kia maine tujh par bharosa. Bas iye bharosa kabhi todhna mat".
For all they argue and fight, Kanha and Sayuri are twin flames. They both idealise Chiru and adore their families. Sayuri understands that despite their mutual hatred towards each other, for the first time Kanha and Her were on the same page. Because Kanha is reliable in a way Chiru isn't. Not the textbook kind but the kind that will fight tooth and nail to manage both sides. He showed his maturity in accepting his mistake and begged his mother at her feet to give his nemesis a chance for his brother. This shows that love is higher to him than hatred and Sayuri respects that. Which is why today it was him she relied on. And he told her to trust him. More than the dialogues it was the scene! The way they looked at each other and the world blurred; that was the beginning of a beautiful bonding of equal partners. Sayuri trusts him for the first time and this trust gives her thr strength to leave Chiru and move on. Her entire identity of ber choices is has the foundation of her trust on Kanha to manage the tattered relations. As she says to her family, "Kanha ne wada Kia hain mujhse. Ki kuch bhi ho jaye woh Chiru ko tutne nahi dega, bikharne nahi dega; sambhal lega use... "
Saroj is another case. Sometimes I wonder what Chiru was thinking. Did he expect it would be very easy to make his mother understand. Did he never know her at all? From the moment Kanha found out he had been haunted by consequences. Why was Chiru not so? Did he expect things will settle with understanding. If that was so, be never knew his mother. For while he is heartbroken, his mother is busy planning further.
"Samajh mein nahi aa raha, ki Kanha pe gussa kare ya.... Kyun ki usne ye sharaarat! Nahi karta toh baat dabi rehti aur Chiru jaise aaj tak nahi bol pata, aage bhi nahi bol pata".
That is the crux of the story. Everything returns to Kanha. Even Saroj knows that had Kanha not showed his cards and played the prank, this affair would have remained hidden. Probably Chiru would have been emotionally blackmailed into toeing the line, unable to come clean. Kanha entering the equation messed up everything. He is like the blazing fire that sheared through uncaring of consequences and as a result the affair came out and Chiru HAD to speak. Which, Saroj understands, he would have been unable to do otherwise.
Poor Kanha is devastated and blames himself for everything. He kind of forgets that his prank or not, Chiru loved Sayuri and this all would have happened some day Or the other. Remembering his promise, he uses his drone to keep an eye on his family members😂
Reminded me of Saroj and her mirrors.
He notices the pictures in Chiru's mobile and his heart breaks. He also takes a trip to the outhouse and checks on the other family. Everyone is oblivious but when he reaches Sayuri, she is the only person who senses the presence and turns to look at the drone. Kanha hastily backtracks but with the realization that Sayuri loves Chiru with all her heart too.
Let's see what the future holds. But today was significant because today starts a new equation for Sayuri and Kanha. Also it is Kanha's turn to play his cards next
