Ladies, hold on to your hankies, Rohit Roy also plans to quit television entirely. Now you will see the soap opera star on the big screen, and even possibly as a director
Rohit Roy has quit Virasaat and is currently shooting his death scene on the show. Incidentally, after this Rohit will not be seen in any shows on television, at least for the time being. He is completely focused on films. He is also finalising the script for his new film.
Rohit Roy says, "Yes, this is a kind of swan song for me. It is a very emotional moment for me as I am right now picturising my death sequence and that will be my end in the show. It will be a major twist on the show and the exit has been planned for a long while. We were thinking of the right time and now the time has come, it is very emotional for me. Especially since I am so fond of this production house, the actors and the people behind the scene. I have no other show as you know and the idea is to now look forward to films and not television. The sequence has been well planned and is lavishly shot."
Rohit further says, "I am taking a break right now and going to Singapore. I will come back and shoot for Alibaug, where I play one of the major characters. I play a simple boy-next-door who happens to be a doctor and I am looking forward to work with Gupta."
Speaking about films, he says, "There are quite a few scripts that I am looking at currently. After Shootout…, I have many offers and I am completely clueless about which film to sign at the moment. I will be reading them during my two months schedule of Alibaug and will also be finalising my script for the film, which I will direct. White Feather Films has signed me for my debut film and after the script is ready, Gupta will go on to cast for the film. I will obviously be a part of the film which is about life in a city like Bombay and the ups and downs of living in a metropolis like Bombay. The film has five main protagonists from different walks of life and it's about how they get together. I am definitely starting the film by the end of this year or even earlier."
