Akshay Anand's Passion!

Brijesh Pratap Singh (Akshay Anand) of Saat Phere wants to breed horses. He is planning to buy a place for this purpose near Karjat. His friends are already into this business. They have their farm houses in Banglore. Apart from horses, Akshay has discovered another interest. Singing. Currently he is also training himself as a singer.

Akshay says: "I want to breed horses. I'm looking for a place in Karjat, where I can keep them. I have prepared a plan for it and my friends are going to help me. I want to do breeding as well as start a school for riding of horses. They have their farm houses in Bangalore. They breed horses and ready them for racing. This entire plan will work out when I will have money in my hand. Now I don't have that that much money right now and for that I'm too young too. This is the profession a man should do at the age of 50."

About his passion for music he says, "I like the music of every kind. I have learnt a lot of things in music. I can sing very well. My guruji Harshji, is from Gwalior gharana. I do my riyaz regularly. I go for classes twice in a week. I go for classes on every Thursdays and Saturdays in the morning. My producers know about these days so they do adjustments with my schedules. My class timing is 8 AM to 9 AM. Learning music is very necessary for every actor, which helps them deliver dialogues more effectively. I will encourage every actor to learn music. They should learn vocals for their voice, confidence and breathing."

"In olden days every actor used to learn singing. Because of which their dialogue delivery was good. I think because of smoking my voice is better. My throat has become mature and clearer. My Guru never told me to quit smoking, he only tells me to reduce quantity. For any singer training never ends. I have just completed my first raaga. I have learnt "yaman" raaga. Now I will start "bhairavi". Bhairavi is very difficult raaga."

"I'm also learning harmonium along with singing. It is very necessary to learn to play harmonium, as it is an important instrument for any singer. It makes you sing well. I know how to play the guitar, but on guitar I can only sing English songs and my wife doesn't like English songs. So I never sing at home. My favourite singer is Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan and Kishorji and Mukeshji. Specially "Woh Sham" of Kishorji is marvelous. Sunidhi has versatility."

Does so much passion for music and horses mean that acting is going to take a backseat?
"I love acting so much that when I go to the sets I immediately want to go in front of the camera. I think about acting all the time… even when I am taking a bath! How can I create a good image? Which costumes will I wear? I never need a break, because I'm an energetic person.

"I have got appreciation for both my roles in Ghulam and Zakhm, but not from the media. Press didn't publish my photos and interviews at that time. Because I'm not Saif Ali Khan or Aftab Shivdasani. If they had done such roles, then they would have got much publicity and coverage. In Ghulam I had a very small role but this movie did well. So I received more appreciation than Zakhm where my role was big."

Akshay is also doing Viraasat. Akshay has done many films like Ghulam, Zakhm, and Uff Yeh Mohabbat.
