Q Is your role of the 'other woman' in Jeete Hain Jiske Liye a cameo?
Yes, it is. The character was planned right at the beginning but her entry happened only about ten episodes ago.

Q What's the reason behind Avni trying to seduce Aman though she is married to his younger brother Ashmit?
Avni had an affair with Aman and wanted to marry him. But he married Anjali. On a rebound she married Ashmit so that at some point of time she can rekindle the old flame. Now she is trying to win over Aman again and come close to him. Of course, since it's a TV serial actual seduction can't be shown clearly. but she will try her best to have a relationship with him. However, no matter how beautifully this relationship develops it can't succeed because he is already married to Anjali.

Q In Viraasat why does your character hover between negative and positive shades?
In Viraasat all the characters are either positive or negative whereas Anushka, which is played by me is the only character which has shades of grey. She is against her husband Rishab Lamba (Aman Verma) because he has abused her physically and mentally. Since Anushka was in love with the Kharbanda family's son, Rishab finds it hard to accept her as his wife.

Q After being shifted to Star One the TRPs of Viraasat have come down heavily. Do low TRPs make a difference to an actor?
Yes, they do. You feel disappointed because your work is not reaching the maximum audience. Though loyal viewers of the show are still watching it, low TRPs do make you feel sad.

Q You played Daksha's daughter Suhasi in Kyunki. With Ketki Dave's return as Daksha Ben in the show will you also be back as Suhasi?
I really don't know. I played Suhasi long ago and after that two generation leaps have taken place. All the characters have grown in age and become grandmothers and grandfathers.

Q And you don't want to play a grandmother…
It's the producer's call all the way. I don't know when and how Suhasi will be back, if at all they plan to get her back.

Q You have fond memories of doing Siddhant. Why is the show still dear to you?
It was a beautiful show, quite popular and did very well. I loved it because of the way it was shot and the way the story and characters moved.

Q You have started your production banner. What kind of shows are you planning to make?
White Leaf Entertainment is a production as well as event management company. We did a Sansui product launch some time ago and our next event is the hunt for a new face to play the lead in Nayee Padosan 2 by way of contests and auditions. We are conducting auditions in major cities and soon the film's lead actress would be announced. As for television production I have pitched in a few scripts and ZeeNext has accepted our proposal for an international travel show called Festivals of the World.

Q Are you looking at anchoring it?
No, I will look after the production since this is my first show as producer. I will take care of all the creative aspects of the show.

Q There is lot of speculation about your relationship with Vikaas Kalantari who is your partner in White Leaf Entertainment.
He is just very good friend. With some friends you tend to be hyper but that does not mean there is anything more to it .
