HOw are you all doing? I saw today episode, and I just have to write on it.
Today's episode was marvellous! I really loved all of it, but the most touching was Piya and Rishab's conversation, which brought a huge transformation in Rishab's character.
Aman Verma was top notch in potraying the man who has , probably for the first time, lost to the world and more importantly to his parents. It was awesome when Rishab broke all that was around the house, and then sat motionless by the pillar, looking dejected, and burned up in his own hatred.
All his talks on hatred and animosity, I remember. Ironically, he hates himself the most, and is his own biggest enemy. I totally loved to connect with his real feelings: he has always remembered his mom being angry with him, his brother growing up to dislike him, and his wife unable to love him, but he survived on his dad's love, and today his dad hates him as well. He has become a leech for his parents, knawing at his own dad's heart. The sadness on his face was so disheatening. All of it leading him to hate himself even more.
It was cute to watch him tell piya to back off and stop doing nice things for him He couldn't tolerate that he was getting love from the person he dislikes the most in the house. What piya told Rishab was so profound. You don't tweak people and their personality to your likes and dislikes, but you ought to accept them for who they are, love them as they are, and then go about making a change if necessary (not sure if she added the last part). Rishab's expression was worth watching when piya told him that his self-hatred is mirrored in others' faces; everybody loves him. How the shades changed when he was told to send 'hatred on vacation' for a couple of weeks, and accept her as his little sister.
The dialogues are truely applaud worthy. Anouska's turn-about to the cops about her complaint was so awesome, and surprizing. I think it hit rishab at the right spot, for his face softened and he seemed to be surprized at anouska's gut, and at her backing off for all the right reasons.
All was great, but the best part for me was when Rishab said 'good night' to his mom, and she reciprocated with love. Me thinks he was taken aback at her rxn. Next when he even wished piya 'good night', I was so moved. I almost had tears in my eyes to see him transform from the so called monster to a human being. His first step towards a better life....
I read a few complaints about Piya being in the wrong, and Rahul in the right. I don't disagree with what RAhul was saying.... one ought not to put a person's wrong deeds under the carpet, but revenge is certainly not the right way to get things straightened especially when your own family and brother is at the recieving end. I just wanted to point out that Piya might be hiding Rishab's wrong deeds, but she wasn't hiding it for rishab or for herself. She were doing so for the family, for her dad. She was doing it inspite of objection, and cruel decision of Raman's own sons. I am reminded of Meera's wonderful dialogue the other day. The kids had decided to bury their father alive in shame and guilt, but they ought to tell which son will bury him?
Anyways, I am so glad that compassion and love won over revenge and hatred. Rishab's self-realization was evoked in the best ways it could possibly be.
Kudos to the virasat team.
