Ravee-Manoj set for a beach wedding
BT gets all the low-down on the big day from the bride-to-be

'Doli sajaa ke rakhna' is what Manoj Biddvai seems to be saying to his bride-to-be Raavee Gupta, as she is busy shooting for Ravan amidst shopping for her trousseau. It's been a hectic time for the tall and slender actor. The two met some years ago at a mutual friend's marriage and have been going steady since oneand-a-half years when Manoj proposed to Raavee while having dinner at her place one day.
The wedding is to take place on a weekend this month at Goa and to add to the romanticism, the lovebirds have planned the nuptials right on the golden sands of Benaulim beach for a sunset wedding.
Just back from a ten-day shoot at Umargoan for her role as Ravan's mother in the serial of the same name, Raavee manages to squeeze in time for her marriage preparations. As she says, "I have been literally running around shopping for outfits and jewellery between shooting schedules. It is going to be a traditional Arya Samaj wedding in the evening on the beach and earlier on the same day, haldi ceremony will be performed in traditional Maharashtrian style as Manoj is a Maharashtrian." Pink lehenga with antique embroidery on it and uncut diamond and rubies for jewellery make for an ideal ensemble while tying the knot early in the evening, at 4.30pm. For the Haldi function in the morning, the actor will be donning the traditional nine-yard sari replete with nathni, as she laughs, "My mom and cousins too will be wearing nav-vari saris and I am quite petrified as I am not used to wearing a sari at all." For the reception in the evening, it is a zardozi sari in orange, pink and gold. "It is a heavy sari, something that I can keep for 30 years and look back at with fond memories,"
chuckles the actor. The previous evening will witness a cocktail dinner on the beach. If the wedding is in the land of sun, sand and sea, where would the honeymoon be? "We will be in Goa for a short time and then take off to Thailand next month for a proper honeymoon j ," signs off an elated Raavee.
