It is wrong of the Americans to pass a death penalty on Saddam Hussein, the most famous Arab in the world. It's the Americans who are the real culprits. They have robbed Iraq of its dignity and integrity, killed its sons and daughters, raided its oil wells, and left the country with a begging bowl. Saddam will now be known as a martyr. It's unjust to hang him without any evidence of the "weapons of mass destruction" US president George Bush accused him of hoarding. The judgement seems like a case of personal vendetta, for the time Saddam put up a fight against the Americans. He remains my hero, for his "rather fight and die than surrender" approach. |
