'I am little more than a bathroom singer'

Rohit Roy has a musical side to him that very few know about

Looks like actor Rohit Roy may soon be giving the singers in Bollywood a run for their money. The actor, who'll now be hosting Wild 10, a music show, and has previously hosted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, has a musical side to him that very few know about. He says, "I have always been fond of music. I am little more than a bathroom singer," he laughs. So, will he be cutting an album? "I would love to cut an album, but I don't see it happening right now. However, I would love to sing for myself in some movie. That too will take some time, I think," says the actor.
Besides music, Rohit is crazy about travelling. "That's why I am going to enjoy this show. I will get to visit many places and indulge in some adventurous things like scuba diving, snorkelling and other adventure sports. People will get to see me as I am," he says. Considering the fact that the actor has already hosted a music show, how different will this one be? "The songs are absolutely different. It's a mix of a lot of things like hip-hop, pop etc," he says.
Besides TV, Rohit is also busy with his film projects. How does he manage both TV and films? "I make sure that no two things overlap. Also all my producers are very accommodating," he says. Rohit adds that though he has four films on hand he isn't leaving television for Bollywood. "I manage my date diary pretty well. I am acting in movies like Delhi Heights, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Alibaug, Dus Kahaniya. But I have time for my serials as well," he says.
One thing that people have always wondered about his — why hasn't Rohit worked in any of Ekta Kapoor's serials? "Many people think that there is some problem between us. We discuss a project almost every month. But the truth is that we just haven't found the right project," he says.
