The desi version of 'Big Brother' is here. But are our celebs ready? | ||

Rajesh Kamat, managing director Endemol India, explains, "'Bigg Boss'will be watching over 12-14 celebrities who will be from different walks of life. They will be living in a house away from the public eye and monitored by 30 cameras 24x7 for 100 days. They will be completely cut off from the world, with no television, no newspaper, no mobile phones and no privacy. They will be given different tasks to perform and it will definitely be a high voltage drama of emotions, anger, bonding and animosity." And will our Indian celebs be open to such an idea? "It is amazing at the kind of response we are getting for this show. We are in constant touch with celebrities from different walks of life and I am sure we will manage to rope in a lot of them for our show," says Rajesh. Refusing to divulge further details about the show, Rajesh says, "I cannot reveal the host or the participants right now. I also believe that a celebrity host grabs eyeballs. But we've had successful shows like 'Fame Gurukul' which was about common people and it worked. So, I am hopeful that this too will be a huge success in India." nuzhat@dnaindia. net |
