With Sanjay Gupta's Alibaugh, Rohit Roy will be acting with his wife Mansi for the first time. This is also the third film Rohit will be doing with Gupta. The first being Plan and the other Shootout at Lokhandwala.
In the past, Rohit's cameos in films like Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and LOC might have gone unnoticed, but Rohit is now gearing up to make an impact in Bollywood. Besides Gupta's films, he has Meghana Gulzar's Baat Pakki and Delhi Heights where he play a Casanova.
Does he consider this to be his major comeback in films? "I won't call this my comeback. But in a way I am playing a variety of characters with big filmmakers. I have always believed in doing good work even on television. That is why my shows like Virasat and Saarkar were given top priority," he says.
Talking about Alibaugh, Rohit says, "It is too early to speak about the film but I am very excited about it. I cannot reveal if I am paired opposite Mansi or not. I will leave Sanjay to reveal that."
Rohit features in another of Gupta's films -- Shootout at Lokhandwala where he plays the real life character of Fattu. "It is a hat-trick for me with Gupta after Plan and Alibaugh. We will start shooting from August 3 and I am excited about playing a real-life character of a dreaded gangster. In the film, along with the other three criminals, I too get killed in the encounter," he says. The other three criminals are played by Vivek Oberoi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shabbir Ahluwalia.
