Presenting, Rajni II
Remember how in the '80s, the late actress Priya Tendulkar became immensely popular as the lone crusader Rajni? Well, going by the looks of it, Mansi Salvi is heading in a similar direction. Mansi has created quite an image for herself as a crusader particularly after playing Sati in Sati Satya Ki Shakti. She tells us that she has been inundated with similar offers. Not that she seems to mind it either! She says, "It is good to be associated with social issues. It feels good to reach out to the audiences through my acting and pass on thoughts to make them aware of their social responsibility." Apparently, this isn't a first for her. She has done a series based on true-life incidents called Atmaja which was an attempt to create awareness against female foeticide. She continues, "In fact I have even done a Marathi film addressing the same issue. These films have introduced me to the sufferings that Indian mothers go through and the statistics are alarming!"
It's good to know someone's tuned in to the happenings around them.
