I am not saying show whitewashed her, I am saying people supported her murderous stream as something great calling her to be the victim. The point of show was excess of everything is bad and they were showing how excess love of Maya was toxic and painful for everyone. And show stuck to that which was good.

But the thing was people who behaved like what she is doing is somehow great or something like she is the victim and everyone else has wronged her. That's what was really disheartening

Again Arjun's brother was in no way coming in her way to her love, in fact after the mental asylum stint even their mother was ready to accept her.. she just couldn't accept anyone close to Arjun

People like DJ but no one says that his murderous streak is justified of that Bhoomi has wronged him so him doing that heart attacks was good. Appreciating a character is understandable but justifying that character like a victim is why I dislike it

Maya wasn't clinically with mental disorder. They clarified it during her court case. And I can't feel sorry for people who are on murder spree of innocent people just because as a kid something had happened to her

General buzz yaad nai but as far as I remember when show was on air, audience was divided into Maya as a victim vs maya as villain opinion especially on IF (after Maya-arjun marriage)

Actually they started to show build up of a medical disorder in initial epi ....phir pata nai kya hua. Why to show a child abuse or extreme fits of anger and fear in Maya jab last me Maya ko koi psychological issue ya clinic disorder hai hi nai

I remember this show got extension due to popular demand. So after a point, they made Maya unbeatable like rajinikant .

Please do but only till Abhinav dies. One of the most softest and best slow burn stories. You know what's the best part. In another star show Teri Meri doriyaan, They did this exact thing the toxic stoic wooden Buddha fanbase wanted.

Started about exactly like this but then turned the helper guy toxic and psycho criminal.

Pata nahi kya soch ke they were about to reunite Akshara and Jerkmanyu but shahi put his foot down right time and changed plans. That itself made it a legendary story. And Jay being a good looking baby faced guy made it even better.

People support Dilip from Pushpa impossible.....the actor is brilliant at his job appreciating his skills is good but they worship Dilip

(Though the truth is that the show is watchable when he's around and after Prarthana track , his stint feels like the golden era of this show)

That's the thing of not keeping actors and characters separate.

Maya was the soul of Behadd. Without her that Duffer Dusky(Arjun Saanjh) love story would have been cringe to core. Jennifer acted out the best there

Similarly here too Mahir is acting awesome and also DJ adds much needed spice to the show. The time he wasn't there story was becoming unbearable. Now even though he is back as kind of second fiddle still scenes are becoming interesting.

I love Jennifer or Mahir as actors for their superb performance. I actually also won't enjoy watching Behadd/Vanshaj if Maya/DJ aren't there because they pull the story to interesting folds, but that's all fiction for enjoyment. I know they are negative characters and that's how they are supposed to behave. I can't justify their acts to paint like they are positive characters and others are negative.

Maya was being made that . Like whatever she did there was a justification given for her. I think we can't just accept that our FL can be an evil person. And as Palak said she was evil, not even Grey.

For example when the episode of Maya accusing Arjun's brother for molestation was airing, most of them were shouting how evil he was and his mask got removed etc.they were calling anyone who felt that this is Maya's trap as r**e apologist and calling out that because of people like them girls fear coming out after being r**ed etc. but when it was clarified that it was indeed her trap and that she had asked her ex bf to rub across Arjun's brother's clothes etc. across her body to ensure that DNA samples could be found, their narrative changed. Now they started saying how deep in love she was for Arjun that she had to even allow other man touch her so that Arjun's family can't take Arjun away though she was disgusted at it..

Like tell me can you actually make a girl who asked other man to rub across something over her body (Maybe despite not liking the act) to frame her BIL a victim? It was then when I completely grossed out of Maya's fandom. I wasn't a regular member of that forum but did visit often

Later when her murders were out, people continued justifying it

This is a common streeyotype....Rajinikant played many characters who got defeated / killed at the end of the movie

That's what majority of ITV fd are...their fav character cannot do no wrong and find all the justifications for their wrongdoing.

Very few have objective outlook for their fav character.
