It’s still a month for the TV show 'Main Maike Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo' (‘MMCJTDR’) to go off air and Namish Taneja, who plays the male lead in it, has already bagged his new project. The talented actor has been signed on to play the hero in producer Mahesh Pandey’s next, titled ‘Vidya’. As reported exclusively by us, Meera Deosthale of ‘Udann’ fame has been finalised to play the protagonist. Namish will play Meera’s love interest on the show. ‘Vidya’ will revolve around the importance of education.
A source associated with the production house tells us, "Namish has been approached to play the role of a District Manager. The character is positive, suave and a thorough gentleman. The actor has already given the nod, however, he has not signed on the dotted line yet."
When contacted Namish confirmed the buzz, but refused to divulge further details. Namish, we hear, is shooting the last episode of ‘MMCJTDR’, which will bid adieu next month. 'Vidya' will reportedly go on floors on June 10 and will hit the tube in the first week of August.
