Ashish is back- ASHISH SHARMA returns to TV for a slice of real life |
Ratnalekha Mazumdar |
Caption After a break, heart-throb Ashish Sharma is back on the small screen with Tujhse Naaraz Nahin Zindagi on & TV where he plays an RJ who talks to people who share inspiring life tales and tells us about how they have survived. A t2 chat with RJ Ashish'. The format of the show. It's made me meet real-life heroes who have come out as winners after battling so many obstacles. After doing fiction shows and dance reality shows, I was feeling very exhausted. I wanted to do something where I could evolve as a person. Meeting and talking to these real-life people and learning from their lives was an enriching experience. I had to unlearn being an actor and get in touch with my human side. That was the only thing that I had to do for the show. How did shooting for this show inspire you? We have this tendency of complaining and cribbing about life. After meeting these real-life heroes, I have come to know that if these people can still have a zest to live after suffering so much, I shouldn't complain about anything. Was there any particular story that touched your heart? Every single story leaves something inside me. Every story is heart-wrenching. Every story has a lot of hope in it. Every story is inspiring. There are many women who have shared their stories of struggle and triumph on the show. These people are so strong that their personality just rubs off on you. You did a bit of writing for Tujhse Naaraz Nahin Zindagi. How did that happen? Yes, lately I have been writing a lot. The show starts and ends with some lines. I write all of them. Earlier, I used to write whenever I travelled, but it wasn't that often. With this show, I can write on the job also. I travel a lot and love writing travelogues. You utilised your break to travel quite a bit... Yeah, I have been travelling a lot with my wife (Archana). We went to Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence, Pompeii, Amsterdam and Maldives. In India, we went to Jaipur and Varanasi. The best thing was that we ditched fancy hotels and flights. We were just on the road... we travelled in trains and rickshaws. I wanted to get in touch with life as much as I could. Earlier, I couldn't travel because of work. Now I have realised that fans don't really trouble us.They would just come up, say Hi', click a picture and leave. I have realised that life is not in these luxury hotels. It is on the streets. If you want to be with people, just be with them. Just like I am roaming on the streets (of Varanasi) |
