Absolutely di...to err is human but to pay for it, is also a part of life which often ITV forgets ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ that's the reason why I wanted to write this story in the first place.. ๐Ÿ˜‹ need to get the frustration out

Chapter 3 โ€“ First Steps

At the breakfast table next morning, Sarthak instructs Anupriya to help Mukku get ready after she has completed her breakfast as he wanted to take her to the doctor. Both Kalyani and Anupriya express their concern thinking that Mukku might be unwell. But Sarthak calmly indicates that there is nothing wrong with Mukku rather the doctorโ€™s appointment was because of the pre-admission checklist. According to it, the school would need the medical history of the child before admission as a part of their safety protocol. They would use it to provide necessary help to kids with any pre-existing conditions and also use it to keep a track of the vaccinations that the child has received to ensure that medically appropriate decisions being were made during any viral outbreaks in the school.

Since Mukku had not spent her early formative years with Sarthak, he was taking her to the doctor to get an antigen testing done. This would help generate her immunization chart and also help Sarthak get an overview on her current health. For a second, Anupriya and Kalyani were relieved but then reality strikes in and they realize that if the doctorโ€™s visit involved a physical check-up then it would also reveal that Mukku is in fact a boy. Since Kalyani knew that Sarthak would never let her accompany them, she suggests to Sarthak that it would be more prudent if both the parents accompanied Mukku to the clinic. While he dismisses her suggestion initially, he later realises that Mukku has a better bonding with Anupriya than him and she would probably feel more comfortable with Anupriya. So he reluctantly agrees and leaves from there. Kalyani then warns her mother to be more wary at the clinic and to ensure that Sarthak was not around if any physical examination was being performed.

At the Clinic:

While Anupriya and Sarthak were seated in the consultation area, the doctor performed Mukkuโ€™s routine examination. Once that was done, he suggests to Sarthak that since Mukku was not showing physical indications of any disease, a blood test would be more than sufficient to get a complete picture of any underlying conditions, if any, and to generate the antigen profile. Anupriya rests back on the chair in relief as their little secret was safe for now.

Mukku was a brave child but innocent at the same time. The thought of a needle was frightening him, just as it would to any child at that age. He just wanted his mom by his side but unfortunately she wasnโ€™t around. Anupriya noticed his angst and hugged him lovingly. She reassures Mukku that though his mother was not with him right now, he at least had his grandmother by his side and she was not going to let anything happen to him which calms him down. The examination was finally complete and the results were to be sent out the next day. So the trio head home.

At Kalyaniโ€™s Office:

Kalyaniโ€™s team returns to her with a bunch of footage that they would have gathered from in and around the crime scene. They also get her the construction siteโ€™s employee manifest and the traffic cam footage. She instructs her team to reach out to the employees who were on shift that day and starts looking through the footages herself. Unfortunately all her efforts go in vain as the tapes donโ€™t show the site before or after the crime, rather they only cover the area directly in front of the shops where they were installed. She exclaims in frustration.

But she gets the first sign of hope in months later that day, when one of her investigators brings back a local street vendor to get a composite sketch done. The vendor would have seen a woman hurryingly exit the site that fateful day. Since the police would have been fixated on finding the child operating the crane, they would have missed to factor in the presence of anyone else that day. Kalyani was elated, finally there were signs of light at the end of this tunnel. She also knew not to get her hopes up too high as finding this woman was not going to be an easy task and her involvement in the event was also not confirmed. But it was still the first step in right direction.

Who was this woman? was she the key to unlocking this crime? Was Kalyani going to be successful in finding her? Find out more in Chapter 4.

Thatโ€™s it for today guys. Hope you liked chapter 3, thereโ€™s a lot more to go. The main event is yet to come. So please stay tuned and as always please share your feedback. Thank you and take care fam.
