I am very comfortable in TV which compared to shady films, offers clean work: Krissann Barretto
Krissann Barretto talks about her new role on TV in Tu Aashiqui, and feels that she is more comfortable working on TV than films.
TV hottie, Krissann Barretto's (Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, MTV Campus Diaries) Bollywood dreams have got a rude jolt. This Bandra girl had recently signed a Hindi film as lead, and had also gone overseas for one schedule for the same. However, she opted out on her return.
"It was just not working out. I also had a hunch that things were not as they should be. I don't think they will continue as well, for not only me, even the other cast members have walked out.
This one experience has made Krissann wary about doing more films. "I will think a hundred times before saying yes to films, for you never know what are you signing up for?
For the moment, Krissann has decided to get back to safer hunting grounds, i.e. TV. Luckily, she has also bagged a negative role in Colors show, Tu Aashiqui.
"Rangoli Rai is a crazy grey-shade chick, who goes from happiness to anger/sadness and back, in the same scenes. She will only get darker with time.
"I am very comfortable in TV, which, compared to shady films, is cut to cut and clean work, she adds.
She had also played the antagonist in her last TV show, Sasural Simar Ka. "I had really enjoyed my bit in this Rashmi Sharma production. It really helped in sprucing up my Hindi, which was quite bad till then.
She has also done a few episodic shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, etc.
All the best, Krissann!!
