The general election is almost over, with the last phase of voting being today, politician are looking for the verdict of a common man. In this scenario whom you think has the spark and charisma to be part of Lead India Campaign? Lets look at some prospective and able contenders from our television fraternity….

Ronit Roy : A personality to die for with oodles of charm and capability. He truly can become the firm contender for this prestigious title. His portrayal of Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi in Bandini is a good example, which is just a hint of his enormous talent! Blessed with powerful and impressive voice he surely can give tough competition to many!

Smriti Irani : Definitely most loved bahu of small screen, would be a front runner and can give many to run for their money. Her experience and journey from newly wed of a house to Baa would help her preparing for the speech and lead from the front as she did it many times for Shanti Niketan. She is already part of a political party so all's well and in her favour!

Sharad Malhotra : Heartthrob of millions with expressive face and convincing ability he surely is another formidable force !His portrayal of a character Sagar brought Zee TV back on track single handily. And that's what this crusade is looking for someone who can set example and make their own path! All the Best Sharad you have it in you and sky is the limit.

Shweta Tiwari : With power packed performances and great appearance she can be an able candidate of this cause. She is a great example of grit, determination and killer instinct, the way she handles her life both on and off the screen tell loads! The experience of Prerna would come handy whilst delivering long speeches. So Shweta, give it a try! You never know what lies ahead!

Husein Kuwajrewala: Lets not rule out the calibre and irresistible allure of Husein Kuwajrewala. He can surely become Rahul Gandhi, Omar Abdullah of tellyworld, carrying loads of experience in public speaking thanks to his stint as host with Indian Idol and various others stage shows. He will be a force to reckon with girls on his side. You look for the sky Sumit!

Sakshi Tanwar : One of the most intelligent and intellectual product of small screen, truly a woman of substance and patience. Sakshi has all the traits of a good politician from dynamism to individuality. If we go by her character in Kahani Ghar Ghar ki, then she has the quality to adapt herself in the changing scenario from Parvati to Gayatri, a plus point in the testing times during the campaign! Another able candidature for the Title!

Ranjan Shahi : The only behind the scene man from Small screen, as he knows how to be in limelight and for good reasons always. If he can express himself through his actors then imagine what renaissance he can bring when he will be in thick of things! He is currently riding high on success with two of the most popular shows of recent times. Mr. Shahi has brain, expressing ability and most important knows how to handle and manage people. A multi-faceted man a quality the campaign looks forward to!

Juhi Parmar : She is another Top contender for this Top Position, as she knows how to keep your identity intact . She portrayed the character Kumkum for 7 long years but people still knows her by her name and not by her character, which is very hard to achieve. She has shown talent on various stage and places, so it will be another cake walk for her!

So what you are all take on this..Whether these Stars have it in them to Lead India !Or we should leave India on its own and just crib about how the whole system needs overhauling and someone has to come forward to correct it..Except you!!

Out of the hordes of actors we see everyday on television, only a handful manage to make their way into our hearts and are ingrained in our memories. Serials rely on these actors to keep their TRPs up and every project they touch turns to gold. We take a look at television's most bankable stars.

Parul Chauhan
Dusky beauty Parul has a good figure, which looks amazing in sarees, and is a good actress. What makes audiences take notice of Parul is her expressive face that always manages to pull at our heartstrings- her eyes manage to do all the talking.

Sara Khan
19-year-old Sara is fresh-faced and adorable. Her youth is apparent in her innocent and open face. She rose to fame as the cute Sadhna in the hit serial Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai. Balika Vadhu is no longer TV's No 1 show

When cricket makes its way to television, soaps automatically seem to get sidelined. The Indian Premiere League, telecast on Set Max, has dominated the channels through the weeks, edging out the most popular show so far, Colors' Balika Vadhu, according to the recent TRP ratings in the Tam Peoplemeter System (in the week April 26 to May 2).

Once the most watched show on TV, Balika Vadhu has bowed down to the Rajesthan Royals, the Mumbai Indians, the Delhi Daredevils, the Deccan Chargers and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL matches.

While IPL tops the TRPs ratings, we take a look at the other top shows on television.

A scene from Bidaai

Bidaai, Star Plus

The IPL matches occupy the top five positions in the top 10 list of the most popular shows on TV. Yes, we're that cricket-cazy!

At sixth place, is Bidaai, a story of two sisters Ragini and Sadhana -- one dark complexioned and the other fair. The show has a lot of drama, and offers many twists. Before the IPL started, Bidaai was the number one soap on television. The TRPs fell when cricket took over.

How they celebrated Mother's Day

Vandana Shukla/ Hill Road Media

Mother's Day is supposed to be an occasion where all of us honor and thank our mothers for all they've given us. We all celebrated Mother's Day yesterday and so did our small screen stars…well, some of them at least…the others forgot!

Showing 2 of 5 images Previous Next

Angad Hasija (Alekh of Bidaai)
I completely forgot that it was Mother's Day yesterday. In fact, I thought that it was today! Then, at 10 o' clock, when I finally realised, I called up my mom and wished her. My mom was desperately waiting for my call but when I told her that I had completely forgotten she couldn't stop laughing.

"Mother", A Child's Best Friend!!!

"Mother", without whom a child is incomplete, a person who gives anything and everything for a child. She takes care of a child's needs, we never have to express but she knows what we are going through. Be it merry or sad moments, a mother is always there for the support. She takes the pain to give birth and through the journey of a kid, she makes sure that her kid stays happy forever. She is a friend, she is a guardian, she is caretaker and most importantly, she is a mother. On this occasion of mother's day, we thank all the mothers for all that they do for us. Here are few celebrities expressing love for their mothers.

Ashita

"Mother is child's best friend". Your take on this:

When the child is born, the first person it connects to is its mother. Nobody knows a person better than his/her mother. We can share everything and anything with her and she gives us support. I believe, "Connecting with mother is connecting with God."

Describe your mother in one word:

Sacrifice

What gift would you present to your mother on mother's day?

Gets Emotional and says, "In this busy life, we hardly take time to spend some sweet moments with our mothers. So, I would gift my life for her. In day to day course of life, we forget our mothers and take them for granted but the fact is house wives job is toughest on earth compared to what we all do."
