Our stars' take on the POWER OF DOT COM… by Vidhya Krishnan Jul 18, 2008, Bangalore |
In the present day when people rely so much on the internet for every single thing, we @ tellywatch wanted to find out what our stars think about it. We caught up with a few of them and got their take on the power of DOT COM…
ONE WORD SYNONYMOUS WITH DOTCOM...
Bobbiy Bhonsale - I want to be a little humorous about it but forget it, I better don't say anything.
Rajan Shahi - Information.
Abhishek Awasthi - I have no idea.
Vibha Chibber - Computer.
Kiran Dubey – E-mail.
Sara Khan - Connectivity
DO YOU HAVE A BLOG SPACE?
Bobbiy Bhonsale - It is under construction but until now I have not tried it.
Rajan Shahi - Not really…
Abhishek Awasthi - No.
Vibha Chibber - I am not an internet person and I don't have the time.
Kiran Dubey - I am not a dot com person and I don't have a blog space.
Sara Khan – I am on Orkut but I hardly get the time to blog. But whenever I get the free time, I do blog.
THE POWER OR THE HYPE OF DOT COMS…
Bobbiy Bhonsale - It has become a normal day to day scenario. It is more useful for the next generation. Five years down the line we will almost see everybody with a laptop.
Rajan Shahi - It is the future and there is revolution happening. Everything on the net is easily accessible and communication is also easy. When the email thing happened, it was a big thing but a dumb thing today. I mean people are so used to it that we know that it is a big deal but just very seamless about it. It is something that we cannot do without. Every single thing is at your disposal and if anybody misses anything on TV, even those highlights are available easily. There is a huge market value and people in this filed are of a greater advantage.
Abhishek Awasthi - It is an important part of the present age. There is so much information that everybody can access. You can easily connect and communicate with the whole world that too quickly.
Vibha Chibber - With just one computer, one can get all the information Initially people had to read books and watch TV to get any information Internet is really useful and easily accessible everywhere |
Kiran Dubey – It is world wide thing that has changed the phase of communication. It is amazing but the sad part is that we have so much of cyber crimes happening and nevertheless we do have crimes everywhere. Overall the internet is fantastic and its ability for a quick mode of communication is mind blowing. It is just unbelievable.
Sara Khan – Internet is so useful and most of us rely on it, it is difficult in the present day life without internet. It is so convenient and easily accessible. It is used for conferences and a lot of other important stuff. A very efficient tool.
20 YEARS DOWN THE LINE, WOULD PAPER STILL EXIST?
Bobbiy Bhonsale – No, newspaper will not exist. It is slowly vanishing and people are getting quite bored about it. As I mentioned. We will have laptops everywhere and in every nook and corner we will have people logging in.
Rajan Shahi - It will definitely exist. Just like novels and books that are available though we can access them on the net. Net is very vast and has a major audience. And net is for the coming generations which is of a great value. But news paper will still exist but net will take the upper hand.
Abhishek Awasthi - I don't think newspaper will exist. Everything is fast moving and changes will happen.
Vibha Chibber - I think internet is more for the coming generations and for people who work in offices and use it frequently or for whom it is readily available. But I am an actor and I don't have the time for browsing. I would rather carry the newspaper along and read it when I have the time. So newspaper will not go but might be different to suit the time. Every medium is different and changes will happen depending on a lot of factors.
Kiran Dubey – Of course, it will exist. And I hope it does. Paper is so authentic and writing a letter on paper and sending it via email has so much difference. The message might be same but the personal touch is only on paper I hope the authenticity is maintained. Changes keep happening everyday and after twenty years we don't know what may happen Villages in India may change to towns and Mumbai might not even exist or whatever possible changes that we could think about
|
So newspapers will be there but with a change in its form.
Sara Khan – Paper will exist but would be less required. And we do require paper at least for fax, photo copies and for other purposes. Any medium will have competition and there will be somebody supreme amongst all. And probably internet will definitely be |
