Divine intervention Bidisha Singha
Okay, so Rajan Shahi's Sapna Baabul ka.. Bidaai and Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi are neck-to-neck in the TRPs race. Love track Shahi's daily melodrama is currently focused on a love track between the characters played by Kinshuk Mahajan and Parul Chauhan. The track involves a qawwali sequence at a durgah.
Shahi had a durgah set constructed at Russian Villa Studios in Goregaon. He shot the scene nearly 10 days ago.
The episode airs tonight at 9 pm. Meanwhile, Kapoor allegedly shot a scene for Kis Desh Mein Hai Merra Dil, just two days ago on the same set. The episode was aired last night at 8.30 pm.
Shahi confirms the news. He says that he has heard that another production house has shot on the same set. "It's probably just a coincidence," he shrugs.
Kapoor chooses not to comment on the matter. All she says is that her team went to Ajmer Sharif to shoot that particular sequence.
Vikas Gupta, creative head for Kis Desh.., clears the air. He says that Kapoor had a mannat that if the soap crossed 4.5 points in the TRP charts, she would shoot at the Ajmer Sharif durgah. High point Two weeks ago, Kis Desh Mein.. climbed to 4.7 points. So the lead actors of the show shot part of the episode in Ajmer. The remaining portion was shot at a local durgah in Mumbai. "The soap was not shot on Bidaai's durgah set," Gupta asserts.
