It is morning. Saurabh is playing with Astha and commends Simran on bringing Astha back home.
Simran is irritated and shouts at Shaguna for no apparent reason. Then she shouts at Saurabh and asks him not to talk while she is on phone. Simran is about to leave without b'fast. Saurabh stops her and gives her a lecture on spending some time on herself. She tells him that she is single handedly managing the entire hospital and if he wants she can drop all that and sit at home. But since both he and Shaguna are around to take care of Astha, she should be allowed some space.
Simran is in the hospital and gets a call from some doctor who refers Dr. Brian to her as a child-doctor who could be of help to her. She calls up the phone no and leaves a message on his answering machine.
Manas tells Riya that he has got a job with some other children hospital and he is joining them. Riya congratulates him but very dryly. He perceives that she is not happy. She tells him she cant be happy to see a friendship going down the drain. He smiles wryly.
Simran calls up Abhi to apologies for the Astha incident. He says that it is not good to upset Saurabh either. Simran asks him to apologies to Neha too on her behalf. Neha is still upset with Simran, but Abhi tells Simran that they are both ok now.
Shaguna goes to wake up Saurabh and find him running temperature. She is worried for him but he asks her to take Astha out to save her from infection.
Simran comes to her office and finds Abhi sitting on her chair and looking up some data for her on the internet. She is very grateful to him for his help. She tells him about Dr. Brian. Her cell rings, it is Shaguna and she tells her about Saurabh's ill-health. Simran tells her to give him medicine and b'fast. Abhi is concerned. He offers to take Astha with him so that Shaguna can look after Saurabh.
Suddenly Simran gets a call from Dr. Brian. She is happy and asks him to meet her to talk about appointing a chief pediatrician for Astha children's hospital. He agrees to meet her next day.
Abhi comes to Simran's house, Saurabh is coughing. Abhi inquires about his health. He tells Saurabh that he needs rest and asks Saurabh if he can take Astha with him for a couple days. It will keep her away from infection and will be of help to Shaguna too. Saurabh accepts reluctantly.
Neha wonders how Abhi got Astha to come with him. He tells her about Saurabh's ill health. She takes it to be an ulterior motive on part of Simran.
Saurabh is expressing his happiness that Astha is away while he is unwell. But he is missing her too much and wants Simran to call. She says that it is not required. She is with her father. He asks her whether she would be able to stay without Astha. She says yes.
Simran is at the Astha children hospital. She finds everything very quiet and is wondering what is wrong. She hears lots of voices and goes there to find a person in Santa's garb distributing presents to all kids. Simran is very pleased. She introduces herself and he gifts her something too. She asks him to accompany her. She thanks him for coming her and pleasing the kids. She asks him to come every year to do this. He tells her that she should appoint a resident Santa too.
She then goes to the reception and asks if Dr. Brian is come. The receptionist says no. Just then the Santa comes and says that he needs to meet the ICU kids. She says that this is not possible. He says it is, she can come along with him if she wants. She says that she is waiting for Dr. Brian. He then removes his disguise and tells her that he is Dr. Brian. Simran is shocked and surprised and mildly irritated too.
