Saira Banu's father passes away

Veteran actress Saira Banu's father, former film producer Ehsaan Khan passed away yesterday, August 5th on Sunday afternoon, at his Karachi residence in Pakistan. He was 92 years old and died due to a heart attack. Sources, close to the family informed us that he faced dehydration problems in the morning and was hence admitted in the hospital immediately, but passed away within a few hours. His film 'Sindbaad The Sailor', starring his wife, the gorgeous Naseem Banu was a huge hit back then. Post- partition Ehsaan Khan shifted to Pakistan, where he continued distributing and producing films.

"I am really sad and not in a state to speak right now, as my dad just passed away in Karachi", said Saira Banu, when we happened to call her yesterday. A close friend of the family said, "Ehsaan bhai, as we fondly remember him was supposed to visit Sairaji, here in Mumbai in mid August on the occasion of her birthday, but this tragic incident has left Sairaji in deep pain."
