Simran and Abhi are sitting watching Abhi's interview in detail. In the interview, he is actually praising Neha to the skies, how she pushed him and supported him. He is saying that it was Neha who was the inspiration behind his success and if they win Urmila's case, it will be because of her support. While it is true that Simran pushed him towards this line, but Neha was with him through thick and thin.
Simran apologizes to Abhi, that she reacted without knowing the details. He accepts gracefully. She is looking quite ashamed of herself or maybe a bit sad at all the praise he is showering on Neha. He asks her for coffee. She accepts.
Neha's office. The staff are again gossiping about Neha's and Abhi's marriage. She hears them and is upset. Abhi calls her up and inquires about her health. He tells her that he is working on another assignment about underprivileged kids who get into drug addiction. She is very happy for him and with the subject. She decides to help him out and gets lots of information out from the Internet.
Abhi is discussing his assignment with Simran. She is happy for him and puts him in touch with some organizations working with underprivileged kids and tells him that he will get all research material from them. He tells her that he wants to go shopping for Neha and baby and wants to take her along. She tells her to take Neha but he says it is a surprise for Neha.
Neha goes to the boss and tenders her resignation. He asks for the reason since she seems to have adjusted well. She says that since the doctor has advised her to be careful, she prefers to resign. He gives her a choice to work from home, she refuses.
Abhi is at Simran's is house playing with Astha with lots of presents around. Simran is watching them wistfully. He gifts Astha a huge teddy. Simran gets upset with him. He says he is Astha's father too and can gift her anything he wants.
Neha is arranging papers for Abhi's research. She is making a list for baby's clothes etc. Abhi comes in with lots of packets. She asks him if he was late because of the assignment since he has to do a lot of research etc. He says he does not need to do anything. Because of Simran he got this great organization and it has info not available anywhere. Neha is disheartened. She throws all the research she had done into the dustbin. She tells him she left the job. He commends her on her decision.
Abhi brings the gifts he brought and tells her that he went shopping with Simran. Her face falls. She looks at the stuff lying around and throws it on the floor.
