I think they said this in one of the episodes..Panibai told Vikram "she can study even after she marries Rajesh..thus people will be impressed you still sponsored her education" maybe they said it for the sake of it..

Durga and Anurag both are trusting on him so much. But Vikram sa is busy to maintain his political position. He just wants all the power and doesn't want to marry his son to Durga.

Yeah they were discussing about her study. But when Rajesh said he doesn't want Durga to do further study then Vikram said he doesn't care about it at all. He just wants Durga to marry Rajesh afterwards he doesn't concern about her future at all.

I think he will try to get Anurag married to a daughter of a big politician or someone influential since Vikram is power hungry.

Yes Vikram just wants to finish off any responsibilities regarding Durga and wants to have the image of a kind and giving man who helped an Orphan to find a random groom..He thinks this will help his political image.

It would be great once he is exposed, his image will come down crashing and he will lose it.
