Didn't watch the match, so am not sure if it was his balling or pathetic batting of Indian top order
Saying that the fact that he was so confident in balling to some of the greats such early in career shows that he has good potential...
I will like to see him more
Taking 5 wickets in the early of the carrier means he has potential and confidence. If his talent is nurtured and if he keeps his feet firmly on the ground, he can turn into a good bowler.Originally posted by: JustRandomGirl

There's been overnight rain and some showers early in the morning as well in Chennai. The pitch and the outfield were covered but all of them have been removed by the groundsmen. Abhinav Mukund, on air, informs that Chepauk has a great drainage system. The players are seen warming up as well. The Bangladeshi seamers won't mind bowling in these conditions. In fact, here's a very good update - we'll have an on-time start!
Most of us expected day two to be a good batting day but instead we saw 17 wickets fall. What's in store today? Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the third day's play of the first Test between India and Bangladesh. India are effectively 308/3 and with plenty of time remaining in the match, they'll look to bat big here. The pitch did ease out in the middle session but Bangladesh failed to take advantage of it. The visitors are now staring down the barrel. Expect India to bat positively. Will the Bangladeshi bowlers be sent on a leather hunt? Let's find out.
India didn't enforce the follow-on and decided to bat again having gained a lead of 227. Jaiswal struck a couple of boundaries in the very first over, Rohit got off the mark with a boundary. But both of them nicked behind. Shubman Gill and Kohli joined hands and they were batting quite comfortably. Mehidy managed to trap Kohli lbw in the latter part of the final session which wasn't reviewed and replays showed that there was a faint inside edge. Pant hit a four and six off Shakib while Gill has looked solid in this innings. India lead by 308 runs and they'll look to bat Bangladesh out of this contest.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Pant, 1 run, 82.9kph, round the wicket, tossed up and full ball, Pant shimmies down the track to drive it past the bowler. A single to long-off
It's overcast in Chennai and the players make their way out to the middle. Bangladesh will start with spin. A slip in position. Off we go...
CRR: 3.46
Day 3: 1st Session - India leads by 310 runs
Shubman Gill * 34
Rishabh Pant 13
Gill 51 (79) πππ
India 114/3.
