That is sad. It would be nice to see more tolerance for these themes

I hope people can be more accepting of lgbtq projects even if they disagree with it

Didn't he play a gay man in Kapoor and Sons? Why wasn't he cancelled then?

The biggest problem was that this show was promoted to the pakistani audience, it was promoted as a show that people in Pakistan can watch, they also got people excited with fawad and sanam coming back onscreen after the big hit zindagi gulzar hai which was a show Pakistanis loved.

But the truth is the subjects shown in the show are not what the majority of the Pakistani population wants to watch, alot of what is shown is against Islam and what the majority of Pakistanis believe in. So this backlash should have been expected.

If this show was highlighted as being made for the international audience and not for the Pakistani audience then that would be a different matter, but it wasn't promoted that way

This is not mere backlash. This is asking him to die. This is pure hatred. If they are going to take the excuse of religion to spread this hatred, then someone must remind them that the same book also says spreading hatred for your fellow humans is the biggest haram. All the people who are spreading hatred against him are committing the same sin they are accusing him of.

Fawad getting death threats is wrong, and these kind of death threats happen everytime there is a backlash for anything, unfortunately there are some crazy people online who think they can make these threats becuase they know they can get away with it online.

Becuase that was an Indian movie primarily made for the Indian audience, that's why I said the target audience matters, barzarkh was promoted to the pakistani audience which was a wrong move

Great.

Islam is strictly against LGBTQ and there is a whole surah e loot against homosexuality in our Quran.

People in Pakistan did the RIGHT thing.

2024 or 3024, does not matter , what is forbidden, is forbidden, and lgbtq is there for thousands of centuries, not some maaaaadrun fad.

Moreover Barzakh is not just about promoting lgbtq as per an agenda (homosexuality track was totally unneccasiry in the narrative), it also shows sexual acts with children, it made fun of Islamic teachings, normalizing and promiting zina/adultery and made fun of the Islamic concept of Barzakh on many levels.

Also the so-called removal will be on 9th August, AFTER its finale episode, hence this controversy will give even more views now to Barzakh makers, mission accomplished..... Bravo πŸ’ͺπŸΌβœŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘πŸΌ
