Out of curiosity anyone heard of any real life frauds/scams related to romance and marriage?

Was watching this regional debate show today. One of the panelists is a guy who runs a detective agency. He shared an interesting story that happened to one of his clients. She was a divorcee with child. She registered on matrimony app and someone messaged her.

She was quite in turmoil and this guy was nice to talk to. He said he was working in NASA but then was fired over some technical problem. He met her once in a temple along with her son and told her that we will continue talking and getting to know each other. During this time, he also ran into some money trouble now and then. She sent him money. When it came to around 5 Lakhs, alarm bells started ringing and her family dragged her to this detective agency.

It turned out that this guy was not only married but had two young teen/adult children (12th/college types). He had a business that ran into trouble during covid. So to support himself, he had been running this fraud where he would befriend divorcees on app and then get money from them....

wow that’s amazing .

This reminded me of GC Virat . In the beginning of the show , ML are presented well but as story moves their characterization takes a hit

Big fan of Neil from this Ghum Hai Kisikey pyaar meiin days.... I honestly feel he should have been married to Sai in real life too. :). Actually, I love Neil from when he played the role of Laxhman Ji in Ramayan. He was always in his "angry" man mood. Looking forward to this show as well!!!
