For instance, low TRPof ARY shows in Ramadan cannot be compared with TRP of same or other ARY shows out of Ramadan coz the context is different.

Same when cricket series are going like PSL, World Cup or major ODI series.You can see both TB and IM TRPs when there was a PSL match vs when there wasn't any.

These are just facts we all know when interpreting TRP.

I understand. Just a few days back Jurm’s ratings were used to mock MJ. I just researched for the data & posted it here. I know TRPs get affected during cricket series.

I remember JeJ getting low TRPs during Ramadan as its timing got changed but it was getting ratings in double digits before & after Ramadan.

Jurm’s TRP for 4 weeks was 6.7, 4.2,4.8 & 5.3. It was a mystery thriller not like MJ that was promoted as a story involving halala. I don’t think these are blockbuster numbers as it was made to seem earlier. Its views aren’t that great either considering it aired one year & 4 months back.

MJ’s views are already 6.8M for first episode & 4M for second episode & it’s only one month old show. The views keep increasing with time.

May be MJ is not doing well as per standards but this show wasn’t a blockbuster either considering it aired when TB was at its peak popularity. It gained its highest rating during this phase only.

6.7 trp means around 3.4 million viewers, 4.2 trp means around 2.1 million viewers. I don't think any drama getting less than 10 trp should be called as a blockbuster drama on television. Currently only ARY prime time dramas are doing blockbuster numbers.

Jurm started off great , #1 on charts, and even ended with an over 5 TRP hence proving that different content can still do decently and actors can have some pull at least.

The whole point of bringing in Jurm in the first place is for those insisting that Mann Jogi is some kind of really dark content, which imo it’s not. It’s a cat and mouse chase with a love story embedded at its core. Look at the vibe of its OST even? Call a spade a spade

Jurm was merely a murder mystery and that’s it. Hardly anyone insisted that its “dark” or for “niche audience” It is what it is. But despite whatever it was, its first episode has 13 M and was # 1 on charts with a decent rating. First episodes matter. It helps show audience pull.

Bhai chalo TRP got an excuse of it airing during cricket season, how are Jurm’s views better than MJ? 13 M after more than a year aren’t great numbers. Its 3rd & 4th episodes are at 4.5M & 4.2M respectively, MJ’s are at 3.4 & 2.8 M and they aren’t even one month old yet.

But gm was made for masala audience and aired on Sunday so that everyone can watch the show still it struggled to get ratings and views.

It's an utter disaster given the hype, promotion, and 2 A list supposed superstar actors headlining it.
