It seems that the public is Ranbir's therapist...I really believe that what he tells is his truth...but telling it this way shows not only a lack of maturity but also a lack of smartness (imo) as again he doesn't only reveal his own flaws but also sheds an ambiguous light on the relation between Alia and him.

So much to unpack here.

I do believe that Rishi’s abusive ways has affected Ranbir in very negative ways. To what extent? We don’t know nor do we need to know. Ranbir is sharing all this as part of his image make over PR campaign, so there’s no sincerity in this interview or this segment. He got a lot of bashing last year or year and a half ago when Alia said that her husband tells her to not be so loud. This is also a much more savvy way of saying things compared to a south media interview where he said he likes Alia because she’s molded herself to his likings. He’s basically saying the same thing here but in a nicer way and by presenting himself as a victim of his childhood circumstances.

It is telling that he can’t think of anything he’s done to make things better for Alia. It’s within reason to assume a lot of his habits and personality traits bother or disturb Alia too. Yet he hasn’t made any efforts to change for her. It shows that their relationship is very one sided.

He needs to stop worrying about his public image and start therapy and focus on fixing his real self. The burden of making things OK for him cannot fall on Alia. She’s his wife not his therapist or life coach or caretaker. This situation as Ranbir described it in this interview is setting Alia up for a life time of stress and resentment. He needs to fix himself through therapy and professional help. It’s not Alia’s job to fix him.

I completely agree with you. If his parents relationship has traumatized him. He should not worry about his interview or image at the moment. And start seeing a therapist but if it is really trauma, then a trauma specialist. Alia does not deserve all this, where she is changing for him and he has not changed anything for her. Wipe that lipstick off, philao comment etc. He married her by his own choice. Alia is still very young and she deserve love.

I think this interview has done more damages than helped him. Daughters are being raised and taught to fix men or give them full support to heal them. If a man get angry, then you must have done something. You need to compromise. Ladies this is not your job to fix a man.

I hope Ranbir seriously take professional help. His hand gesture was anxious. Childhood trauma is something to be taken seriously.

So if Alia has tried to lower it overall in real life then kudos to her. To change lifetime habit takes conscious efforts.

Ranbir said her reaction to say Raha falling affects him. Understand it bothers him but here feel he should understand where Alia is coming from. On this point am siding with Alia as her reaction will be coming from fear for her daughter may get hurt and it is very much natural reaction. If she has tried to control even that then truly hats off to Alia as it is not easy in those situations. Her love for RK but be special to crub natural reactions.

I agree, reacting to a child falling down is natural, you can't really control that and it comes out of fear of raha hurting herself, and she has even changed that coz it's something rk got rattled by, these are quite big things she has changed about herself for rk
