Okay for argument's sake, let me agree that Abhira doesn't want Ruhi to go to jail. However, despite what Abhira seeks, at the end of the day, it is up to the judge to award or punish, this includes imprisonment. So there is always a risk of imprisonment. Particularly, if you have a strict judge, and not a lenient one.

It can also go horribly wrong, and Ruhi gets imprisoned.

So why would Abhira want to expose Ruhi to the risk of imprisonment?

Accidents can always have worse consequences, hence people are punished according to the consequences e.g someone died, you would go to prison, someone is injured, and you have to pay compensation.

You also have to consider the person - are they repeat offenders? Were they grossly negligent? Their character and so on. These factors are also considered when deciding on a punishment. It's not simply just it could have had even worse consequences, then that person deserves the maximum punishment.

If somebody is a flight risk , they're not allowed In flights, first thing first ..imprisonment , charges or fine comes later..

There is no insaf here really which she's fighting for..

I think it's more about how Abhira is handling the case. Yes, the client may be petty in terms of what they are seeking, however, this is where Abhira steps in. As a lawyer, she should know better and advise her client accordingly. It's not reasonable to take this to Court and seek imprisonment because lets be honest, the judge will not grant that!! But instead, she is shown to be dragging the matter to Court.

I don't think Abhira is taking revenge, however, she is reacting emotionally rather than logically in this case because of Arman and Ruhi. She is also exposing Ruhi to the risk of imprisonment (although unlikely) but it's still a possibility. If that does happen, I don't think Abhira herself with be happy with that outcome. So it begs the question then, why did she unnecessarily drag the matter to Court? I mean we already see this happen when Manish is yelling at her. She seems very upset and is crying.

IF Ruhi really caused an accident due to her negligent driving why should she not face the consequences of that? Ruhi has exposed herself to the risks of being punished for her actions because of her rash driving. We have been shown that she was driving like a maniac ignoring her parnanu who was following her asking her to slow down. So just because now she is crying and saying sorry- doesnt mean she didnt commit a mistake. whatever she deserves as punishment for her mistake, she will get that after the court hearing. Abhira is not plotting and scheming by fabricating evidence against her to get her punished for something she didnt do. if Ruhi is somehow proved to not be responsible for the accident, Abhira will have to accept that too. Abhira may be emotional but she is not doing anything immoral or unethical just because she is emotional about the issue. she says she wants to see Ruhi get her due- whatever that may be as adjudicated by the judge. the main thing that going to court establishes is that this stuff goes on Ruhi's record and her driving license will be revoked hopefully so that she stops being a risk to everyone. Whereas without court case, Ruhi would on paper still have a clean record and would still have her license intact. And its not Abhiras job to vouch for Ruhi and help her have a clean record. Its believable that after all that Ruhi has done, Abhira is not interested in playing unnecessarily nice. She has been nice before and been rewarded with heartache and malice from Ruhi and Goenkas.

Kaveri case mai jab she ended up fighting case for both the sides tab Meri hassi ruk nahi rahi thi , uske baad cycle chori case mai jab usne client ko ro-ro kar kaha ki main aap ki cycle dhoondh kar laugi tab muje iss ajuba lawyer par fir se hasi ayi thi

Ajooba type lawyer ko yeh lagta hai ki sirf wohi hai jisko har ek case mai “insaaf” mai interest hai, baki ke kisi lawyer ko insaaf word se koi lena dena nahi , sab aivey he court mai aate hai

@bold - You think so? I mean think about it, Arman is helping Ruhi because of his guilt, now imagine she goes to prison because he lost the case Also, Arman has already expressed to Abhira not to take Ruhi's case, and she did. Then he made a reasonable offer, and Abhira didn't accept it.

So he will be upset with Abhira for sure!!

I mean yes, we as the viewers know the history with Manish but Abhira doesn't! So she will be devasted if Manish hates her because she genuinely cares about Manish. Hence why I said she is risking her relationship with Manish.
