I have read Ruskin bond a lot....like a lot..it is soo easy to grasp his style...

Othello...waah...dark, intense and tragic..

Have you seen its movie adaptation by Vishal Bhardwaj???

I am going to enjoy with you soo much di..

Thank you for answeringsmiley27

You are knowledgeable...

Bold- watched it and loved it too

The Venetian/Cypriot society has been wonderfully adapted into the rural milieu of UP..

Iago’s ruthlessness was so beautifully performed by Langda Tyagi ( Saif’s best imv)

A classic of this kind not easy to adapt but the book’s theme lends itself so wonderfully to other mediums -

Such is the magnificence of Shakespeare that 400 odd years on, we continue to analyse and adapt his writings

lovely to bond over all the loves

Including the love for Krushal 😂😂😂😂

Btw not related to above but have to say this considering our show may soon go on a diff tangent.

As a person who only sparingly watches ITV, feel Male leads have a raw deal on ITV and they should move to OTT for better content

Like Barun has done, I hope Krushal does it too…

I love Omkara as well..love it soo much...

Saif's career best...

But Ajay,Kareena, Vivek..all were superb

I have some amazing memories associated with it...

I remember I was soo sad and depressed after watching this...then one of my English teacher told me just come and we will analyse...

She said...key to Othello is to understand that Desdemona and Othello were always doomed. Their romance was cracked from the beginning, she was too innocent and he was too tortured. It was just that Iago was the one to first see those flaws and put pressure on them and make them break even sooner than they would have. That’s what Iago does, he doesn’t just destroy the love between Desdemona and Othello, that was always doomed. But he does it in such a way that it manages to destroy Othello himself as well. then I realised Vishal Bhardwaj has done exactly same in the movie...

You see that Kareena's character really truly loves Ajay with all her heart and soul. And he loves her in return. But they are so different, it is almost like two different species have come together. She is all innocence and simplicity and faith. And he is all hurt by experience and full of plans within plans and doubting everyone.

We discussed The color contrast (in Shakespeare, the “Moor” versus the Italian and in Bhardwaj, Kareena’s pale skin and white clothing versus Ajay’s darker skin and ever present black cloak) is just to make sure we see the underlying personality contrast....

Then after a lot of analysis I felt better...

Yup....sooo amazingly adapted....

Do you like Hamlet?? Have you seen the movie Haider by Vishal Bhardwaj?
