10:52pm A positive update from Mel, who is at the ground. She says it has stopped raining. West Indies will hope it stays that way for the next couple of hours or so.

8:31 amUPDATE - 8.28 am IST (2.58 am GMT) - There is some good news from the ground as the rain has stopped and the covers are starting to come off. The ground staff will now get going and hopefully, the ground can get ready soon for a restart. The drainage is pretty good at this venue and the umpires can be seen chatting with the ground staff as well. Stay tuned as we should have official word regarding the restart soon.

Sagar: "What's the par score at 5 overs with 2 wickets down or maybe 3 wickets down for SA?" -- The par score at five overs, if SA are two wickets down, is 34. If they are three wickets down, it is 40

The covers are coming off too now. All eyes on the drainage now, and on how quickly we can get back on. There is a small puddle near where the covers were placed and that might need clearing before play is possible.

8:53 amUPDATE 8.52 am IST (3.22 am GMT) - The rain stopped a while back but there is no word yet on the restart and that is due to a puddle that formed inside the 30-yard circle. Also, we should be starting to lose overs now as well which is never a good sign. Let's hope that we do get a start time soon, stay tuned.
