Shaheen Afridi: I am always trying to strike early on. I was trying to bowl fuller and the inswinger. We thought the appeals were close. If you pick wickets in the first few overs, opposition is under pressure. The new ball might be tricky.

Ireland crawl their way to 106. Inserted to bat, they were rocked early by the two left-arm speedsters. Shaheen Afridi and Amir picked up three and two wickets respectively to reduce Ireland to 28/5 inside the powerplay. When Haris Rauf struck in his first over, Ireland were in serious trouble at 32/6. That's when Gareth Delany and Mark Adair joined hands and decided to have some fun. The former went after the Pakistani bowlers and struck three maximums. The 44-run stand was broken by Imad Wasim who bowled beautifully and added two more to his tally. Joshua Little threw his bat around and scored 22 to take Ireland's total in excess of 100. Not an easy pitch to bat on but 107 shouldn't be a tough chase for Pakistan
