Current Affairs Forum:

Participation Guidelines:

Welcome to the Current Affairs forum, a space dedicated to discussing Real-World events happening locally and globally. This forum requires thoughtful and respectful participation, given the sensitivity of the topics.

Important Points to Remember:

1) Timely Discussions: Understand that most news topics have a limited period of relevance. Avoid dragging out discussions indefinitely. Focus on the timely and evolving nature of current events.

2) Respectful Reactions: Real-life events can provoke strong reactions, but it's crucial to respond thoughtfully. Avoid overreacting or attacking other members or the moderation team if they hold different views.

3) No Targeting or Name-Calling: Targeting, labeling, or name-calling any member/ members or moderator is strictly prohibited. Maintain a respectful and constructive tone at all times.

4) Real Events, Real Sensitivity: This section deals with real-life events and news, making it different from the fictional content in other forums. Fiction and reality must be handled differently.

5) Multiple IDs and Unrest: Creating multiple IDs to cause unrest, mass reporting to get a topic closed, or any disruptive behavior is not allowed.

6) Any of these Guidelines violations, can result in a 20% Warning Level increase.

7) Moderation Decisions: The moderation team has the final say in allowing or disallowing any topic.

Guidelines for Topic Makers:

1) No Social Media Sources: Topics based on opinion on Twitter / X, other social medias platforms are not allowed. Social media content often reflects individual opinions, which can be biased and one-sided, lacking the comprehensive analysis that is required for balanced discussions. For instance, a tweet about a random user comment might spark a heated debate based on personal opinions rather than factual reporting. Such discussions can quickly become polarized and unproductive.

2) Official News Sources: Use news from official print media and news agencies as a base for your topics, providing proper links and citations.

3) Research-Based Topics: Topics based on thorough research with credible sources are encouraged. Avoid using social media updates unless they come from official and verified accounts.

4) Avoid Fake News: Do not create topics or comment on fake news. Verify the authenticity of the information before posting.

5) No Instigation: Topics made to instigate, attack, or target members or moderators are not permitted.

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that the Current Affairs forum remains a respectful and informative space for all members. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Any kind of CA guidelines violation, will get 20% warning level raise to that member.

Hoping for your co-operation.

Regards

Current Affairs DT.
