I wanted to know how a hiring manager would go about doing a background check on the candidate’s previous generations, if the candidate applied under the reservation category, and presently comes from a financially well to do family.

As for the other question, if India’s PM Modi, who belongs to the OBC category, were to have kids and grandkids, hypothetically, your proposal would have them too taking advantage of quotas/reservation where as mine doesn’t.

Okay so you are asking me how govt jobs will check how many generation back did they get the wealth? So if you go to say 1940, do you think there were several rich sc/st? Do you think several held high positions or had social recognition. Also they are still facing social stigma even if they are rich.

Modi is OBC and if he has wealth then he will not be getting any reservation because of creamy layer. If this changes in for his future generations, I do not mind them getting reservation.

You started by saying Modi is fascist in the world’s largest democracy. Even opposition claimed elections were fair and now they are back to EVMs as they finally figured out they lost.
2. You wanted Muslim/minority entitlements and now have switch to SC/SC/OBC. You also claimed that they have “above average” and passing grades.
3. Tax the rich. Reservations go against every grain of meritocracy. A 50 by a minority is not equivalent of 99 by general category regardless of circumstances. In fact in some instances, 0 has obtained admissions (just by showing up for exams) as there is no pass/fail criteria. And 50% reservations? Entitlement by religion or caste does not work. As over 75 years of independence has proven. Their fees are already reduced. As one user said, some income based selective criteria works. They respond and you keep moving goal post from minority/religion to now SC/ST/OBC as you are basically hard core leftist (reservation category kya?). Progress is made my meritocracy and decades of hard work. One member posted support of how there is no “average/pass/fail” you said its one example only. Google it as you ask others. 50% means there are thousands of such cases. Every one getting through reservation, likely the highest score is below the cut off for general category. 3. Tax - if 40% (rounding 39) means paying Rs 40 out of 100 is paid in taxes. One cannot rob Peter to pay Paul. Wealth redistribution does not work. One example is Ambani. One can critique all you want if they do enough charity or not. They changed the ecosystem of the country with Jio and pricing. One year of Jio plan is cheaper than one month of plan in a western country and you know about digital revaluation.

To say why cant they pay just 1% more. I say why cant others work harder. Dhirubhai wasn’t born with money. Thousands of examples of how poor work hard and achieve great success. From Obama to Dhirubhai. One wonders why one community constantly wants entitlement. Reservations and only focussed on breeding and madrasas?

And people that work hard. Make billions or millions are supposed to then turn around and pay more taxes? Kyon? Hard work Is a crime? Becoming rich is a crime?

Final point - You also asked for Muslim representation in govt. Why? If they did not vote for BJP means they are not BJP party workers. It means they wont run on BJP ticket. It means they wont be elected as BJP representative. It means they wont be part of government. Despite all BJP social schemes do not discriminate on religion or caste. Again, just entitlement is what you Muslims want. Voting happened. In one village, 500+ houses were built. All 2k+ votes (100% Muslim village) were against BJP. Yet BJP is not taking away their benefits. Muslims are benefiting from all their social schemes and not voting. BJP accepts that.

Jab allah meherbaan to gahdaaa pehelwaan. Taxes cannot be to rob the rich. Inheritance tax is a crime as it taxes the taxed wealth again. Is it a crime to be rich or born in a rich family?

Reservations cannot be to prevent meritocracy so that most deserving are prevented from education and institutes are being opened by Modi but there is pace to ensure there is quality. Why dont you come out openly and say you are a leftist Muslim that is entitled to everything. Socialism has never worked anywhere in the world except the ones used to staying at home and wanting a piece of pie without effort.

1) How is openly giving hate speeches while being sitting PM of the country okay? There are multiple other hate speeches with no action. Houses getting bulldozed. Taking away rights from hijab students. Farmers protesting gets called Khalistanis.

2) If it was not clear enough, I am clarifying it, I am not referring to only one community. I am talking about all marginalised communities because they all need uplifting. It does not matter from which religion.

3) No one is robbing anyone. If only just some hard work and some good idea made people billionaires. You are complaining about reservation without mentioning about casteism. Ambani and Adani can still be billionaires if they are charged more tax.

4) We are all privileged to be on iF sitting and debating, so I cant really say I am working hard. But the amount of people doing labour might not agree that just because you work hard, you will be rich.

5) If you think people are going to vote after the points I mentioned in point 1, I do not understand why you think they will vote for BJP.

I am leftist, I think I have said that multiple times. You can assume I am a muslim/Hindu or any religion, I do not mind. smiley9

edited to add this part: you will be rich.

Billionaires became billionaires not by snapping their fingers.

on another members point on US tax. Its called carried interest loophole. Some billionaires themselves have said taxes are broken if they are paying less than their secretaries. But that not what Chaims is saying.

She wants to tax more so that the madraasa educated without any real education can get in colleges through reservations and the rich can pay more taxes for khataaaa khat at their homes.

the rich create tremendous wealth for societies through their business alone like Birdie mentioned. It creates progress and employment. Take that way and you will have 10000 Pakistans and Palestines. India says thanks but no thanks.

You are right. I did not work hard to be a billionaire and I do not have the talent to be one too. I am sitting in the comfort of my home debating away and that is a privilege we all have. It does not mean poor people are not working hard enough.

The reservation is already there, I suggested taxing the rich more so we have more educational institutes/other facilities. If you think it will not benefit anyone, you are free to believe that.

Many of the high ranking govt officials, even IAS, IPS are from the reserved category. They are already uplifted, lead a comfy life, kids r studying at fancy schools n colleges..would they still give up their privilege of reservation to uplift the needy?

Any answers?
