Sadly, it has always been about religion. I believe innocent civilians anywhere don't deserve to perish in the bloodlust. Nationality and religion shouldn't even factor in showing empathy. But, the loudmouth activists are so selective that I wonder if they actually feel empathy or just want attention.
The big problem lies with the manipulation, gaslighting, and the selective activism the left and the islamists indulge in. Those who are on the forefront with their internet activism were the same ones supporting the mindless rioting in the streets against the CAA which was introduced for the minorities who faced horrific persecution in the three neighboring countries...one of which wiped out the entire non-muslim population. Liberals were shamelessly walking hand in hand with terrorists who killed KPs and unarmed air force officers. The crowds in the funerals of terrorists are known to all. But, talking about it will probably make us bigots and you-know-what-phobic. Wonder what drives this ridiculously hypocritical selectivity. Given how the left allied with the oppressors and terrorists in India, it has no moral right to question anyone's silence or judge them. In fact, staying silent is better than selective empathy.
Fight Israel from the comfort of your couches but cease forcing and gaslighting the Indians who are only minding their own business while being mired by 1000s of domestic issues. They anyway have zilch standing here.
Lastly, it's worth attention that the preachy and very humane Indian left has the highest civilian body count and was labeled the bigger threat even by the congress dispensation in 2011. LW terrorism killed 8863 civilians just in theperiod of 2004-2023. But, they're liberals who'd label you a threat at the drop of hat merely for holding a different view.
