@bold - then you can’t say religion based politics don’t work in WB.
Coz you just proved - it does.
Rest - I rely on news. So won’t claim to be expert on WB politics. Although news and post poll violence is at extremely scary level.
West Bengal is always high on violence during and post elections. Guess they were the frontrunners of Freedom Fights and Movements and still those blood and adrenaline rushes are high.
Mamata’s appeasement worked for first 5-7 yrs. Then those cheap tricks got old. And now she’s riding high on different worthless schemes which paves way for more corruption. She doesn’t have any sort of idealogy to even cater to a specific religion for a long time. Doesn’t have ANYTHING basically. God I dont want to talk about her.
People need to have faith in CPIM again. Their 10 yr or 30 yr old mistakes cannot be the reasons to not bring them back. Theirs is one idealogy bengalees can relate to. But their last few yrs before 2011 was so horrible that it’d take time for people to erase those from their memories to have faith in them again. But we need to understand any party that stays for more than 3-4 terms will have such authoratarian problems and it wasn’t specific to CPIM. We shouldn’t punish the young brigade for their grandparents’ mistakes.
