Vanraj insults Anupamaa repeatedly and calls her masaaledaani. (Kavya took her daughter and disappeared in the meanwhile so Anupamaa became the wife again). Anupamaa's status is of an unpaid maid taken for granted by all while Dukhmukh sits and feasts on cream rolls, pretending to be supportive.
Anupamaa was neglected by Shahs at her Pota Anss's engagement also despite all her efforts at bringing about the alliance with a rich girl. The good for nothing ruffian didn't care about his daadi having to sell her jewellery to buy him an engagement ring. Anupamaa bore too many insults from Anss's to be mother in law and grand mother in law all because Maa hoon ne/Daadi hoon ne.
During this time, the to be in laws of Anss expose the extra marital affair of his grandfather Vanraj which embarrasses the Shameless Shah phemli. Anupamaa is shattered all over again and decides to take a divorce against the wishes of her phemli. She decides to move to her house in Vadodara and become a Jogan reviving Shahben youtube channel but Dukhmukh gives her kasam to stay by his side till his death so that he has his Beti around.
Vanraj's new flame marries him and enters the house, having constant fights with Anupamaa. Somehow Anss also gets married and straight away his wife gets pregnant. In the meantime, a charming businessman who had seen Anupamaa's journey on Superstar Chef 26 years earlier and gotten enamoured with her enters and woos her. Anupamaa declines his proposal stating that she could only offer friendship which he accepts.
Vanraj loses his job again and Anss is also a local sadakchaap gunda without income, hence to safeguard the financial stability of his clan, Dukhmukh convinces Anupamaa to marry the new nameless simp. This is heavily opposed by Mawaali Jhuli who states, 'Par Daadi ki shaadi nahi ho sakti'.
But Anupamaa is determined and goes ahead with her plans. Vanraj tries to sabotage the wedding but to no avail. The ghost of Anuj who had been staring dreamily at Anupamaa the past 26 years enters the body of the nameless simp. He starts speaking like Anuj and spouting all kinds of ridiculous shayaris. Anupamaa gets the shock of her life and faints.
Ghost Anuj is unwilling to leave the body of the new simp despite many appeals from Anupamaa and Dukhmukh. Finally, she confides in her lifetime partner Vanraj, who arranges a hawan organised by a tantrik to scare away the ghost. The simp is beaten black and blue but it is of no avail. Ghost Anuj is hell bent on spending the resht of his lyphe in the bhesht way with Anupamaa. It is then that Vanraj strides over to the new simp being controlled by Ghost Anuj and shouts 'Vanraj Shah is back!!!!!'
Hearing these ominous words, the ghost runs for his life and abandons the body of the new simp. However, it is a bit too late for the nameless simp as he unfortunately passes away from the beatings he received while trying to ward off ghost Anuj. Anupamaa is once again left alone.
It is discovered that the new nameless simp had already signed over all his property to Anupamaa on the day of his marriage. Now that the TamaShahs' financial problems are solved, Anupamaa goes back to Shah house where Vanraj awaits her, having divorced his money minded wife. They remarry and look forward to spending the rest of their days in bliss!

They're all very much alive. Dukhmukh pretends to be supportive and convinces her to marry the new nameless simp while Jhuli opposes par daadi ki Shaadi. And none of them look a day over 40 regardless of the actual age
