I don't think Wahaj will be as good as Bilal in funny scenes though I like both of them and it is a hard choice smiley24

For me it's both

Bilai is an amazing actor while wahaj has good screen presence. Both these guys can do wonders if they will get good projects and good dramas.

Bilal has already shown versatility, has proved himself as good actor while wahaj has that potential that he will do wonders but he needs to choose his dramas wisely.

I think he’s experimented a lot actually to show his versatility. Just last year he did an intense romantic drama, then Jurm which was a thriller, 22 qadam which was a story on cricket (he also did that short film Yorker), and a tragic piece which was TMK. There’s no lack of variety in his roles. Then you have Rumi - his period piece. IJ - his comedy drama which was pretty popular. Another crime thriller he’s done was Haiwaan - he was brilliant in it. Social drama: DNUTN. So genre wise I think he’s covered it all. Even Mein - on the surface - was a great concept. Just lacked in execution. I totally get why he signed it.

What he needs to do rather is get the first 10 or so scripts instead of being trusting of directors. That’s where he lacks I think. He should only trust his own gut

Agreed he’s a very versatile actor and he’s been equally good in a variety of roles. He’s been able to do aggressive, angry, obsessive, gentle, heroic, romantic, funny and innocent roles all convincingly. They’re all very different from each other and his range was one of the things that impressed me. I also agree with you that he was amazing on Haiwaan. I don’t think a lot of people have seen that but it’s worth watching.

Sometimes though, the script or story on the whole is lacking but his performance almost always stands out. He has great screen presence too.

Well, a show is gonna do good or not is pure luck. Even in ITV, there were so many good shows like POW, Dehleez etc struggled to even meet the minimum expectation despite having a great story and casting, while, the shows with absolutely no sense like bhagyas, saathiya etc having highest trps...

Even, wahaj's good shows like DNUTN, 22 qadam ,JBG with brilliant performance didn't get it's due while TB despite it's controversial script did well in trp chart and views...Just because someone didn't have as many successful shows like another doesn't mean the person isn't versatile...

Liking or not liking anybody's acting for that matter is individual perspective..I may like and connect to somebody's acting, doesn't mean that the other person also will connect to that actor's acting...For eg: I never liked FQ, but there are people who connect to his acting n watch his shows...
