MT: Did you have strict parents whilst growing up?

My dad was/is very liberal but my mom is confusing lol

I anyways am not a party animal but I do things in my style and in my own way....and I must say my parents never judged me for that. I do my own thing and they just let me.

I had best parents anyone can have.

Had authority but not strict.

Dad was so understanding, passed away in 2014.

Mother is still alive, and is my best friend forever.

So loving and not an iota of fear I have ever experienced in their presence. (Respect always, fear never).

Many people said my parents were far lenient compared to other desi friends abroad. But that does not mean we were doing drugs or anything stupid. We were one of the few girls that could openly express ourselves in front of our fathers. In other Indian households there is always tension between the dad and their children. It is because they are so scared of their father that sometimes it is even difficult to express their emotions for him.
