Fanfiction- The Rise of the Moon (Completed)

Title- The rise of the moon

Genre- Romantic Historical Fiction (mostly deals with Romance) 

(Historical Fiction is set in a real place, during a culturally recognizable time. The details and the action in the story can be a mix of actual events and ones from the author's imagination as they fill in the gaps. Characters can be pure fiction or based on real people.)

Warning- Creative Liberties taken for making the story exciting 😁 Written solely for the purpose of entertainment and doesn't intend to hurt anyone's feelings ♥️ See it as FanFiction. Basic story and names of the characters are from history but the story is heavily fictionalised for dramatic element. It does not claim  to be actual history. Only hope is the readers will be entertained and will have fun while reading it. Thats all. It's repeated that it's a FAN FICTION and should be seen like that only. It does not claim to be real history at all. It's just a fictionalised version of real story for entertainment. For real history please read history Books  Chronology of some characters are compromised to make them enter early in the story which didn't happen in real history  It's a historical Romantic fanfiction and should be read for entertainment and Romantic escapism.

Part I

CGM would be a boy from Moriyas republic of Piplivana whose father (leader of the republic) would rebel against the Nandas and would be killed by him. His mom Mura (who was daughter of a village headman of the republic) would be pregnant then. She with her eldest brother , his daughter Chaya and another girl Durdhara whose father was friend of CGM's father and whose family got killed in raid by Nandas would come to Pushppura (another name of Patliputra). They all would be living there as peacock tamers of the king's peacocks. Chandragupta and Chaya would be best friends with their friend Durdhara. One day after getting insulted by Dhan Nanda, Chanakya would be roaming in village when he would see Chandragupta playing Rajkhelam with his friends with Durdhara as his queen and Chaya playing Rajmata and other friends as his ministers and soldiers. Chanakya would be impressed with Chandragupta's intellect and he would buy him as a slave as Mura's brother would be in debt and he was contemplating sending Chaya and Durdhara in King's palace to get off from his debt. Mura would willingly sell Chandragupta to Chanakya for 5000 Karshapans and Chandra would agree to save Chaya and Durdhara. Chanakya would take Chandragupta to Taxila University and would give him education befitting of a warrior. Meanwhile in Patliputra while on a trip DhanaNanda's daughter Nandini would want playmates so she would choose Durdhara as her new Daasi and would take her to the palace as her new Daasi. Durdhara and Nandini would soon become friends. Nandini would be a kind but bold and egoist girl while Durdhara would be pious, kind , poised and intelligent woman. 

CGM soon would visit Magadha on a mission and would accidentally meet Nandini and Durdhara. Nandini would be impressed with his bravery but CGM would dislike her for her superiority complex while he would be delighted to again meet his best friend and they would hug each other very emotionally in front of Nandini making her jealous a little but she wouldn't understand why she was feeling jealous.

I liked it  I am saying PH should create fanfictions than saying ashoka's story. They will have creative freedom

Oh I misunderstood, I obviously took creative liberty but kept the core story from actual history, writing it in brief as it would be finished soon and I am never able to finish long fanfictions with dialogues, I also didn't want to show Durdhara as his eldest maternal uncle's daughter as written in Mahavansh Tika as it's very bizzare and would sound like incest 🤢so made her from Mauryan lineage as written in Burmese Legends. 😁 So I made Fictional chayaa, it was done by ekta also 🤣

Part II

Nandini would feel jealous and in nights she would think about CGM and how he is good friends with Durdhara who is a slave but doesn't like her who is actually a princess. Nandini and CGM would get usually get in verbal spats only to be pacified by Durdhara. Seeing closeness of Chandhara, Nandini in night would want to harm Durdhara by making her ugly but her inherent goodness would stop her and she would ask pardon from God for thinking ill of a dedicated playmate and servant like Durdhara and would promise god never to harm any innocent soul. CGM's constant taunts on Nandini of being an egoist brat would make her see faults in herself and she would slowly start changing herself for the better. Durdhara started noticing Nandini's growing feelings for CGM and would discuss it with CGM who would laugh at this and told Durdhara she was thinking too much and ask her in fun if she was feeling jealous of the princess and Durdhara would deny, rather she would say she would be happy if Chandra could marry a princess and have a secured future but Chandra says he would never marry a princess. 😉

Chandragupta manipulates Durdhara and ask her to manipulate Nandini into helping him in his mission. Durdhara then manipulates Nandini and she unknowingly starts helping Chandragupta against her own father (though she didn't intended to) and after his mission completes he takes leave of Durdhara. When Nandini asks where is Chandra, Durdhara said he left. Nandini was disheartened that he left without meeting her and she says to Durdhara, hum itne bhi bure nahi the ki wo hamse Milne bhi nahi aya, then Durdhara gives her a necklace of beads and says to Nandini, jaane se pehle Rajkumari , Chandra ne apko ye Dene ko kaha tha aur sath me ye Patra bhi, and some words were written in it and the letter said

"Ahankari Rajkumari, meri taraf se apko ye pehli aur akhri bhent, sada prasann rahiyega. Aur meri Mitra Durdhara ka khyal rakhna, wo muzhe bahut Priya hai. 

Apki Daasi ka Mitra aur apka shatru, Chandragupta ".

Nandini smiles sadly and tears comes in her eyes.

In night she cries a lot remembering him and she starts realising she started falling for him.

Before leaving Chandragupta told Durdhara that he was getting education from Taxila University and intended to become a legendary warrior (he didn't tell about his and Chanakya's plan to capture Magadha). Durdhara envies him and tells him she also wanted to get education.

I like the friendship between Durdhara and Nandini. CGM is clever to use both of them for his mission 🤣🤣.
