8:58pm So, RCB stutter and stumble their way to 131. It could have been much worse, though, had Perry not batted through the innings, and had Wareham not popped up with a useful cameo. Meghana and Mandhana perished early, as did Devine. Ghosh, too, could not get going tonight. They found themselves in a decent position with five overs left, with maybe even 150 in sight, but the last five only yielded 33, summing up their innings.

A disciplined and miserly bowling performance from MI has ensured that RCB finish with a below par total. The pitch is a bit tacky and slow but 150 would have been par I reckon. After being inserted into bat, the hosts lost their skipper Mandhana early . Meghana and Devine were also removed within the powerplay and they were pushed on the back foot.MI kept the pressure on in the middle overs and kept chipping away at the wickets. Perry and Wareham got together and stitched a 52-run stand for the sixth wicket to bail their side out of shallow waters. They struck a few boundaries and the stage was set for them to capitalize on the death overs. But, they couldn't make it count as only 25 runs came off the last 4 overs.

Issy Wong: (On her bowling) Improvement from the other day. Fantastic crowd, that is why we play cricket. To play in front of crowds like this. (On their fielding) Definitely a strength of ours. It sets the tone. We have been working on that and hopefully it was better today. (On the approach to the run-chase) We have to trust what we do well. We have to back the players we have got and just win today.
