So if a woman is working it gives a licence for man to cheat.

Then what about men players

Im a Muslim so I understand these things.

Though country wise little bit things get different. Like in India we don't have Shariah court like Pakistan but some religious institutions r there where nikahnama gets registered n there talak n khula gets registered too. Indian courts have lengthy court battles so people prefer this route as they don't want to waste their age as it becomes difficult for commoners to remarry after certain age.

I’m only answering this question and not getting into a theology discussion.

The answer is no because when a woman gets pregnant she won’t know who the father is. These rules were set 1400 years ago so DNA and paternity testing wasn’t a thing.

Men were given permission for for four wives because after a specific battle a lot of men were killed and a lot of women and children were left without support. So it was decreed by Allah that men can take more than one wife as a financial and societal (again 1400 years ago) solution. Treating all the wives equally and justly is the main stipulation of this rule.

Unfortunately with time Muslim men forgot the reasoning and rules behind this and started abusing it for their own benefits.

If the wife is helpless, then they have no other choice than to give her husband a permission to marry again. This video is a good example.

Were we talking about cheating?

Thought we were trying to examine her availability for her little son while she was playing tennis all over the world? smiley4

In Islam you do not need permission from your wife to marry again, there is no such thing, though it would be good decorum to let her know you are so she's not in the dark about it, but you don't need anyone's permission to carry out the sunnah/haqq. At best the wife can stipulate in her contract that he cannot marry any other except her, but only the Hanabilah have that option for women, but the husband can choose not to agree as well. Marrying more than one is a sunnah, but thats only for people that can do justice to them equally, that they're very able to emotionally/financially and religiously. The severe consequences for the husband after death for choosing in emotion to marry more than one but unable to be just to them is also in the Hadith. But these four wives rule doesn't apply to Shoaib, he's not religious but culturally religious (which is BS) he allowed his wife to roam around without sharii hijab (a major sin) and is happy with her going out and interacting with men while beautifying herself, that makes him a Dayoos, the Mutabarijjaat women and Dayoos won't enter Jannah, that's explicitly stated. He knows nothing about fiqh or aqeeda or even tawheed the basic fundamentals has no idea about what the Shariah entails. So he should not be marrying at all let alone more than one until he learns his religion and gets out of this kufri culture adopted from next door which most Pakistani's are guilty of and will be the death of. They don't care for the religion or have any fear they live in their warped bubble

What can the wife do if she is helpless?

To think you got taunted for being a Brahmin by a troll, just because you didn’t agree with their so called opinion. Kudos to you for not giving it back in their face.🙌

I don’t think that was religion specific. It was more like a safety measure they came up with, to protect the women because women of those days had no agency.
