It looked like a part of him was happy seeing abhira putting sindoor of his name.He has started to enjoy him being addressed as her husband. He likes it when abhira gives him attention.. Atleast I want to believe it like that only...

He is for sure not in love with her yet,but he loves her presence around him ,admires her talks and her cute antics.In that scene he definitely is happy seeing her putting the sindoor on his name. He doesn’t like when Abhira says she is there for only a few months but doesn’t react to it. Unknowingly he accepted her as part of his life. He wants to share everything with her and feeling bad because he has to keep the secret about the party. He may only realise his feelings when something big happens like Abhira meeting with an accident ,Ruhi expresses her fellings or Abhira leaves him with his 2 min noodle wala love and go.

I still don’t think it’s Abhir , that fellow is drunkard and he might have said Buddy just like that. There r very less chances they bring Abhir back and that too at this point. This may lead to find out about Akshara’s death and finding Abhira Sharma.But yeah let’s see.
