His shock was less about getting caught, and more about his growing understanding of Abhira, and how astute she is. She surprises him everytime with her own understanding of people. She is a forgiving person despite her being hurt by those she forgives. She actually has a lot of Akshara and Abhinav and Naira in her in that sense. I just love the characterisation of Abhira, and it is what made Armaan fall in love with her, despite the beautiful Ruhi being around.
But Abhira is BIG on doing things right. And she will soon leave Armaan because she will think it is right on her part to not come between two star crossed lovers. also there is that badi behen trope.
