Please take the time to read and review these guidelines carefully before posting here. We strive to make this a safe and respectful space for all of you.

In addition please read the Rules below drafted specifically for this forum carefully before participating in Forum discussions.
Appreciation Threads
Appreciation threads are to be used to praise and appreciate particular favorite characters &/or actors playing said characters. All discussions related to an actor's performance, looks, style and personality can be confined to ATs. Please don't use the ATs as a forum to bash/mock/discuss other contestants/members, discuss what is happening on the forum or elsewhere on IF or other social networking sites.
No Random couple/Group/Member/Animal ATs are allowed in the name of fun as such ATs are mostly filled with only spamming. Only character/actor AT and relevant Jodi AT will be allowed. Jodi ATs & Individual ATs must talk about the respective person and his/her interaction with others in the context of show post/discussions. ATs are subject to closures for violations of the AT rules.
Any negative(bashing/filthy language) comments/opinion on other characters/actors or on storyline that are not relevant to the thread's topic, scene or actor/characters scene with other characters should NOT be discussed here. Members can discuss relevant scenes where other characters are involved but no unnecessary speculation is allowed.
If you wish to open an AT for an actor/ character, please inform the DT to seek permission in the Welcome and Permissions thread.
AT Rules
a. Chatting in ATs: Please reduce the personal chatting because we do have a chat club for that purpose. However, we do allow minimum chatting in ATs, provided it is related to this AT alone. Non-essential chatting or spamming comments in the hopes to increase pages or just for general chatting that are in no way related to the show can get deleted or individual members can get a warning.
ATs are open for everyone, however, do not invade the AT with the purpose to rile up the fans or instigate them. If any member fails to follow the rules, please report the posts rather than jumping in to moral police or joining them to aggravate the issue further. Acting responsibly will prevent any action being taken against you.
We can assure you guys that we only take action where there is legit reason. However, here is a little catch for the stalkers who just want to report in order to get the AT closed down - If you report any post/comments that has no legit reason, you will be responsible for action against you for stalking.
ATs/discussions threads CANNOT be used to target other members and NO pinpointing activity/mocking or taking digs at other fan groups. Any derogatory references or name calling against actors /characters/members/Dev team members are strictly PROHIBITED here.
b. Penalties: If the DT sees more than 3 people breaking the AT rules constantly twice in a row for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:
First Violation - Warning Note
Second - Another Warning Note
Third - Another Warning Note
Fourth- Close the AT for 24 hrs (1 Day)
Fifth - Close AT for 72 hrs (3 Days)
Sixth - Close AT for 1 week (7 Days)
Seventh - Move AT from the Srimad Ramayan Forum to Celebrity Fan Club Forum.
These rules are applicable for multiple violations and not a single post as it will be dealt individually. Having said that, please do not assume that every report submitted by an opposing fan group will be entertained. We will go through the reports and only if we find the report valid based on the above rules, we will speak to the Admins of the AT and action will be taken accordingly as stated above.
Bashing/ name-calling/ personal attacks/ hate speech/ topic divergence
India-forums.com Code of Conduct strictly forbids members from bashing fellow members, DT members and celebrities. This includes the use of foul language, as well as any derogatory personal remarks.
Bashing Development Team Members is strictly against IF Rules. Warning Levels will be raised for members found bashing the Development Team.
No personal attacks on members or celebrities including direct / indirect/ abusive / sarcastic/ condescending/ passive-aggressive remarks from within the forum or external sources shall be tolerated. WLs can be raised without Warning.
You are not allowed to label or name-call any celebrity/ IF user/ DT member or character on the show. Refer to the characters by the names they are given on the show. Do not make up code-names or nicknames for anyone or a fan group, unless it is a nickname that is already being used in the show. Regardless of whether the term being used is as a form of entertainment or abuse, it will not be allowed. The use of nicknames/fun names is very much subjective and what one member considered a name to be fair use may not be taken in the same manner by others.
Actors on the show cannot be compared to any animal or any other thing which may be considered offensive. Refrain from posting fake/morphed images/videos intended to defame/ ridicule /abuse any contestant &/member. This includes posting animal images with the intent to be sarcastic and bash any member/celebrity.
Members are not allowed to discuss other forum's issues in the Srimad Ramayan forum.
No old topics are to be brought to the first page, with an intention to rile up, mock, instigate members for their opinions in the past episodes. Members do change their opinions about the same characters during the course of the show and there is absolutely no reason to shame them for it.
Comparison of Past Shows/Other Versions/ Actors
No comparisons of other versions of Ramayan aired on television/movie will be allowed anywhere on the forum except on the Ramayan Canon Thread. This also means comparing actors of previous shows with current ones and the way a track was presented in the other version cannot be discussed. Also discussions about other mythological shows and characters will not be allowed in the Srimad Ramayan forum.
No discussion on past shows that the actors of this show have been in is allowed.
No discussion will be allowed on celebrities who are not part of Srimad Ramayan. Please do not make comparison posts with actors who have played the same characters before in either a TV show or web show or movie. These are revered characters and hence please keep in mind not to hurt the religious sentiments of anyone.
Since Ramayan has several versions and there have been several screen iterations of Ramayan, we will allow discussion on the canon versions only in the Ramayan Canon Thread that will be separately created by the DT. However, please keep comparisons here restricted to only the storyline and DO NOT compare actors who have portrayed any of the characters in a different version.
Counter-Posting
Refrain from making counter posts on the forum. For example, if you see a post which you feel you do not agree with and believe to be insulting/provoking or abusive, DO NOT then go and create another topic in relation to it to counteract the post maker. This only leads to further unrest and more arguments breaking out in the forum. Even if another fan-group/ member started it, do not retaliate, just bring it to the attention of the DT. If you come across any posts which you believe are not in accordance with the IF COC or this forum's guidelines, please REPORT them.
Creations/Pictures Gallery
All pictures/creations are supposed to be posted in the picture and creations gallery of Srimad Ramayan forum. Do not make separate threads for pictures episodic/personal or creations. However if a member wants to post an analysis on the episode and uses pictures/creations (with credit to the creator) in their post it will be allowed in the EDT. Having said that, when we say pictures can be used in discussion posts, it means a few selected caps from the episode and not entire episodic screencaps.
Editing Posts
Certain threads move very quickly and moderators are not liable to edit/ take action on each and every comment. Please be accountable for what you post, and be vigilant on what others post. Although we track activity across the forum, Unless you report a comment for rule breach, moderators will not be aware and therefore won’t be able to take action every time. Additionally, any post made with a sole intention for mocking and instigation which leads to a ruckus in the forum will be trashed without a note.
When a thread title has been amended by the Dev Team or a note added in a member's post, please refrain from editing such posts, this will be seen as going against the code of conduct and the members will be reprimanded.
If a thread has too many reports or too many members are seen to be breaching the rules, the DT may close the thread temporarily in order to review the reports and cease the infighting. A generic DT warning to avoid such behaviour may be posted on the thread and it may be re-opened on the discretion of the DT. Some threads remain closed if the rule breach is too severe and the thread may also be trashed.
EDT(Episode Discussion Thread)
Episode Discussion Threads will be created and maintained by the DT every week. Please keep discussions limited to the episodes of that week as far as possible. Some references to previous episodes can be allowed for the sake of viable discussions.
Please follow these rules while posting in EDTs:
Please use this thread ONLY to discuss the episodes, keeping chatting to the minimum. Refrain from bringing in off-topic, BTS (unless it is related to the show/episode), actor's SM posts, fans' SM posts or an actor's projects outside of this show. Such posts if found will be trashed and members can receive a warning. All such updates can either be shared in the Social Media thread or the character/actor’s AT.
Do not post entire episode links as this will be considered copyright violation.
Please do not quote large posts/ posts with links/images/videos as these unnecessarily make the page heavy and difficult to load. You can edit the quote to the portion you are responding to or simply tag the member to respond to their post.
Please refrain from using harsh, rude, or offensive language or hurting the sentiments of fellow members or any specific groups.
Please do not bash or name-call/label any actor or character. Fun names or nicknames for characters are not allowed. Please refer to the characters with respect since these are mythological characters that have religious significance and are revered by many.
Please refrain from bashing or engaging in a fight with fellow members or fan groups. Ganging up against minority opinions or shaming members for posting their opinions/ moral policing is not okay. Avoid name-calling, using derogatory emojis or code names, moral policing, instigating fan groups, making indirect snide remarks on another fan base/ member.
Using profanity or abusive language is strictly disallowed.
Do not make discriminatory posts shaming or mocking any particular group based on religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, class, caste, race, ethnicity, ability, intellect or any other form of discrimination.
Please do not bring in comparisons with other shows or actors playing the same character in a different show.
In addition to these rules, IF CoC and Forum rules will apply at all times.
One Liners/Short Discussion: Detailed discussions on the episode can be conducted on the EDTs only, please post all one liners/ short sentences/Paragraphs regarding the episode in the Episode Discussion Thread, If repetitive topics are found, they will be merged with the EDT.
Please Note: The above rules are applicable to all posts on the forum and not just the EDT.
Fan Fiction
Mythological forums/ shows and related FanFiction comes with a separate set of expectations and rules because of the revered nature of the characters and their religious importance/ relevance. Hence, our FF Rules have been modified for Mythological Fan Fiction.
Please follow the FF guidelines as defined by the FF section and FF forum, Fan Fiction Rules & Guidelines specifically with regard to Mythological Fan Fiction. All other Rules will also apply.
RPF (Real People Fiction), is a genre of fan fiction written about actual people, rather than fictional characters portrayed in a book, movie, or TV show. We do understand fandom love their preferred actors so much that sometimes they write fictional stories based on supposed real life events/history/articles. Example: RPF writers build a fictional universe , wherein a celebrity is involved in a supposedly real relationship with another celebrity/costar. India-Forums DOES NOT permit RPF in any manner. Members may write about the Characters based on a TV show but NOT about the actors who portray them.
Forum and Development Team related Issues
Do not bring forum issues into the threads under any circumstances. If you have any problems with any of the threads on the forum either report them or PM the Development team members of the forum. DO NOT create posts to discuss forum issues and DO NOT start discussing forum issues in threads already open.
The DT is not allowed to disclose what we are doing with certain threads or what action we are taking so please don't try to make judgments on our decisions because we just don't go through the topics you report but read through EVERYTHING in that particular thread. Just because we don't highlight step by step as to which action was taken against which member, it doesn't mean action wasn't taken. If you have a problem, PM the Dev Team members. Also once a DT member has posted a note on a thread regarding rule breaking, please refrain from further dragging the matter in the thread.
Warning Levels (WL) and User Restrictions:
Any member found to be violating our Forum Rules and Code Of Conduct may be given a Warning Level increase as assessed by the Dev Team. Please note with each Warning Levels increase there is also restriction/limit to the access to the forum features as given below:
- 20% - First warning, so members are given a chance without any other restrictions
- 40% - Only 15 posts (replies in topics) can be made in a day
- 60% - No new topics can be created in addition to restrictions of 40% warning level
- 80% - Restricted PM access whereby PMs can ONLY be sent to Dev Team to resolve issues, in addition to restrictions of 60% warning level
- 100% - Automatically bans the member
For first time offenders, Two Warning PMs are sent out before raising WLs for the same offense. However, this will not be applicable if a general DT note has been posted on the issue in the forum. It is each member's responsibility to read any notices by DT members (we will update them in this thread and add the date on which it has been updated in the thread title). We will not be tagging individual members to inform them.
Warning levels can only be reduced after 3 months if the member has been active with no new warning increase and has not violated any of our forum rules. It is not an automated feature and requires the member to send a request PM to lower the Warning Level to the Dev Team member who raised their warning level and in the event the PM goes unanswered for more than a week please contact the Global Moderator.
Freedom of choice and speech
Art & art appreciation are subjective. We like what we like and dislike what we dislike. Everyone is entitled to their choices and their own point of view. However, this does not permit one to attack their fellow members for not sharing the same point of view. Additionally, let us respect the fact that if something does not appeal to us, it does not mean it’s not appreciated by someone else. So it is advisable to tone down the intensity of our dislike. If some content on the forum is triggering or upsetting you, or you disagree with the emotions expressed by a particular user, please walk away/ignore the post and refrain from responding rather than engaging in active conversation and spoiling the mood for other fans.
Remember to be kind to everyone’s interpretations of the text/ story/ show. No yucking someone’s yum. Let’s be thoughtful and mindful with our words.
Please refrain from posting any abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic comments that can potentially hurt the sentiments of your fellow member. Please be respectful while posting and maintain politeness even if you disagree with a fellow member. We understand fans can get passionate and emotions can get heated, but that is not an excuse for belittling real people who post here.
You are welcome to post critique & state politely why you disliked a scene, the acting or storyline or character, however, remember there is a thin line between being critical and bashing. Insulting real people, whether artists or forum members, crosses a line, so make sure your criticism does not spill over to fans of said artist.
Some fans are able to separate the art from the artist. Others are not. Both schools of thought are accepted on the forum, so please do not judge/ shame/ mock/ moral police fans of an actor for not subscribing to your point of view.
Please do not stereotype any fan bases. India forums has zero tolerance for bullying, hate speech or personal attacks. Any derogatory references or name-calling against actors/characters/members/Dev team members are strictly disallowed. Please remember the characters in Srimad Ramayan are revered and hold deep religious significance to many. Always keep this in mind when talking about any of the characters on the show.
We do respect Freedom of Speech but it's important to remember that every right and freedom comes with the responsibility to use it properly. Any individual and/ or topic mocking/ shaming opinions or fault-finding/ nitpicking will see a direct warning level increase and the topic shall be closed.
Inclusivity
India Forums stands against discrimination of any kind and believes in inclusion.
Any posts that we see with people telling others what to do or to exit the forum because they belong to a particular fan group will be removed. This is an inclusive forum and once a Topic Maker has created a thread, it is understood that it’s in the public domain and any member across IF is free to respond in it provided they are adhering to forum guidelines and IF COC. Topic makers, please do not report posts in your thread if they disagree with your opinion.
Furthermore, any threads that exclude a member or a group with titles such as "PS: Bashers stay away", "Only for __xyz__ fans", etc., and other such disclaimers will be edited by Dev Team. If a member is found doing the same even after reminders/ warnings, it will lead to a rise in warning level.
Additionally, any posts found to be discriminatory / promoting hatred or bigotry against an individual or particular groups are strictly disallowed & will be trashed without warning. These include but are not limited to - nationality, ethnicity, race, age, ability, intellect, communication skills, gender identity, color, size, sexual orientation, marital status, fertility, socio-economic status, caste, religion, nationality or mental health.
Introductions
All newbies and other general members of this forum, please introduce yourselves in the Members’ Introduction Thread, instead of opening separate intro topics.
Issues on External Sites
We understand that social networking sites are an integral part of communication in the cyber world. And therefore we understand that Twitter/Facebook /Instagram accounts of celebrities are religiously followed by fans for news/updates. But please understand that while posting show/character related content from cast/crew, production house and official sources accounts is allowed, there is absolutely NO need for members to be posting their own discussions from these said external websites onto IF. Any personal discussions/issues occurring between members on external sites will NOT be allowed on IF. Personal tweets/Instagram/Facebook updates of the actors/actress can only be shared in the respective ATs. Any fights between different fangroups from social networking sites are not allowed to be posted or discussed here.

Language
English is understood to be the default language for posting on IF, however, since Hindi is the next most widely spoken language across IF, we will allow posts in Hindi. In this case, we will also allow quoting scriptures in the original language in which they were published. (Sanskrit or any other)
While members are allowed to post in other regional languages if it is for the purpose of finding common ground or bonding or discussion with other members that speak the same language, please remember that using a language that is not commonly spoken/ understood for the sole purpose of groupism, mocking or ganging up on another member/ group or that, in any other way, excludes members from fully participating on the thread is not allowed. Such posts, if reported, will earn a Warning PM, and will follow the chain of warning levels if continued.
MIDs (Mutiple IDs)
Please keep in mind making a MID with the purpose to fool around with members or to bash or create an unnecessary fight will lead to ban on the MID and warning issued to the original ID. Also, if you think a member is using a MID then contact the section Dev Team. Do not accuse someone on the threads based on assumption. Not all newbies are MIDs of opposing fan groups. If you have any proof /evidence with regards to the same you can PM the Dev Team. They will look into the matter and take appropriate action.
Moderation
Not everyone on the Development Team has moderating powers. Coolbies DO NOT fall under the category of moderation as they only provide timely updates to the forum.
The moderation chain is as follows:
Viewbies > Moderators > Channel Moderators> Global Moderators.
Your first point of contact would be the Section Viewbies (LizzieBennet & Quantum-dot) as they take care of the day to day happenings in the forum. If your issue is not addressed satisfactorily, you can escalate to the Channel Moderator (devashree_h) and lastly to the Global Moderator &/or admin (Jayshree/ Vijay).
Any issues regarding Moderation or Warning Level queries should be addressed only by PM to DT. Please do not argue about rulings on the threads/open new posts regarding moderation, name-call or bash moderators and disrupt the atmosphere of the forum.
DO NOT open threads on the forum questioning the actions of a particular member of the DT or decisions taken pertaining to issues that have taken place. If such a thread is opened, it shall be closed immediately/moved to RCV, asking the members to contact the DT via PMs. Strict action will be taken against repeating offenders.
Moral Policing
Everyone is welcome to express their opinions, however unpopular or different they are, as long as they are within the forum rules and IF COC. Members have the freedom to offer their own unique perspective, which may contradict someone else's point of view. When you impose your opinions of what is right or wrong, and judge people based on their opinions, you are shaming them for their values, which goes against IF COC. We believe in having a safe and inclusive environment where everyone is free to express their thoughts. If you find someone making a rude or inflammatory post with the sole purpose of riling up another fandom, please do not escalate the matter further by retaliating and trying to call out that member. Simply REPORT it, and we will take the necessary action against the offending member. If you jump in, you could be liable for a reprimand as well, so stay out of potential war zones.
If you find anyone breaching either forum or IF COC rules, please Report the post &/or the topic.
Morphed Pictures, Siggies, VMs and Avatars
Please refrain from posting fake or morphed images, siggies, and VMs intended to defame/ ridicule /abuse any actor/character. This includes posting animal images with the intent to be sarcastic and bash any character/celebrity. Any morphing OR merging faces of celebrities onto existing (original) pictures from other sources are STRICTLY prohibited on INDIA FORUMS. It highly violates the copyrights of the original picture and such activity will not be tolerated and WL can be raised without warning. Furthermore, those morphed creations will be removed from the posts, immediately once it comes into the development team's attention.
Signature/DP war is NOT allowed among members. So please ensure that your signature or DP is directly or indirectly not pointing to any member on the forum or fan base. While posting signatures/videos ensure that none of the content carries any hate speech towards any community.
No one is allowed advertising external blogs, sites using their signatures on IF, as that breaches forum rules.
Similarly, using offensive signatures, in a manner to rile fan bases and start a signature war of sorts, is strictly prohibited. Any signature or DP which is derogatory or meant to create chaos in the forum will be removed immediately and if the member continues to display it then the offender will receive an increase in the Warning Level.
Also, please remember to keep your signatures to a specific size, as large signatures cause the page to lag. For more information refer to A&S forum's guidelines that are applicable all over IF.
Personal lives & Non - Srimad Ramayan Topics
This section is only intended for the discussion of the show, Srimad Ramayan and topics related to it. Any topics or posts about the personal lives of the actors or makers outside the show will NOT be allowed unless it has a clear and direct relationship to the show. Any topics or posts judging or commenting on the personal life of the actors will not be allowed. Actors' personal lives can be discussed ONLY if it is published in media and members do have a source to verify it and only in the Actors’ AT. Any other baseless speculations about the actors' private lives or link ups between co-stars will not be TOLERATED.
Accounts, email addresses and personal pictures/information of actors are not allowed to be posted or revealed unless they themselves give it. Remember it is their personal life and they would not feel comfortable.
Do not bring in topics to discuss reality shows where actors of Srimad Ramayan have participated or will do so in future. Members are requested to use either the allocated forum for the show or CFC forum or their respective ATs for such discussions.
Physical attributes
Anyone found making derogatory posts on physical appearances of a character/actor/fellow member will face strict action, even indirect mention of the matter will not be allowed.
Posting Articles and links
We allow articles to be posted on the forum. All article posts MUST contain the link of the article. DO NOT copy-paste the content as this will be considered plagiarism. If you are quoting a part of the article, paste the link so that the authenticity of the news can be determined. Any article threads which do not contain the link to the article will be deleted from the forum. No reviews or articles written by critics are to be shared, except in respective AT. Some articles, social media may mention the actor's personal life. Discussions on such articles, social media posts, will not be allowed.
You are not allowed to post Episode links from external sites as this can be considered copyright infringement and IF would be liable.
Quoting posts
Please refrain from quoting long posts/ posts that contain links/images and/or multiple posts at once, as it makes the page heavy and may also alter the codes, making it difficult for the readers. If you wish to reply to a post by someone else, simply quote the member's post and delete the parts other than the ones you wish to address. Or you can simply tag the user whom you are responding to.
Ramayan Canon Thread
Srimad Ramayan is just one version among hundreds that exist for Ramayan. There are several canon versions and the show may/ may not follow any single popular version eg. Valmiki Ramayan, or Ramcharit manas or Kamba Ramayana. At times it may be an amalgamation of different canonical versions.
Some people may feel one version is the accurate one.
What is shown on this show can possibly be found in some other version of canon. And at times, the canon may be distorted/ adapted differently than popular canon. For the purpose of meaningful comparisons, we will have a Ramayan canon thread to discuss various versions of the Ramayana and how this show is different from those versions. Any other topics made to discuss story distortion/ canon divergence will be merged with this sticky thread. You are asked to restrict all comparisons with other Ramayan versions strictly to this thread.
Repeat topics
Before starting a topic please check the first 2-3 pages of the forum. If a similar topic is already open, comment there. All the similar topics opened later will be merged with the one opened first!
While making any topic or initiating discussion, please provide a legitimate source, reference or link to support your thoughts. There are many interpretations of Ramayan and not everyone is familiar with the story or different versions. Thus providing a link of your reference would help them understand better. This is not a documentary and mythology can be considered as simply fiction by some and therefore amenable to re-interpretation, while others consider it a chronicle of true events and a guideline to be adapted into their lives. Both beliefs are acceptable on this forum, so please treat others who don’t have the same belief as you kindly and be open-minded to different opinions & ideas.
Reporting
If you see anyone breaching the rules in any of the threads in the main forum, do nor create posts or threads to rant about it and snowball the issue further. Instead make use of the "REPORT" button and report the thread/ post by stating the reason clearly.
Targeted Reporting: At times some members resort to reporting almost all the comments posted against their fav character/actor, or anyone posting/ replying to their comments. Just to create pressure to take actions against members posting/replying. Such members will face actions for creating disturbance and unrest in forum. So refrain from targeted reporting. Learn to co-exist in the forum.
Please do not report the same post more than once. Members reporting the same post multiple times will receive a PM warning and if it continues there will be raise in Warning Level too. This rule certainly does not intend to discourage the members from reporting but often same post is reported multiple times by the same member and it serves no purpose. Please understand that DTs need at least 24-48 hrs to work on the reported post and simply pressing the report button multiple times will only delay the process. Some situations demand the time and decisions are often taken after consultation, so there maybe delays.
Report Button/Response Time: Please keep in mind that the Moderators are also members like you. We would also want to have the time to make posts and discuss with our friends; and we also have personal lives. Please allow a reasonable time frame of 48 hours. We try to address issues and respond to PMs and Reports as soon as we can get to them, but we request you to grant us some leverage as well. Instead of several people sending PMs on the same issue, it would be appreciated if one person PMs the concerned DT with their concerns.
We want to assure you that every report is seen and attended to by the moderators. It may not be visible to the member who made the report, and that is because of IF policy that all moderation is kept confidential between the moderator and the user or post against whom the report is made. We DO NOT, under any circumstances, disclose the action taken in response to a report, unless it happens to be a moderator note on a thread which is public and applicable to all users posting there. So kindly do not make statements such as - "Mods are biased", "Mods support only xyz fans" or "Mods are selective." You have no way of knowing what action has been taken, but rest assured, if your report is found to be legitimate, action will be taken in due course of time. Remember that moderators have real lives and do this as a voluntary service, so please do not hound us asking if your report has been received and if we took any action against the offensive post/ user. The actions taken remain between the reported user and the mods of the forum and we are in no way obliged to share it with anyone else.
Abusive/Threatening PMs: Abusive and/or threatening PMs should be taken up directly with the DT or higher admins. Please do not make PMs public knowledge or use the forum as a way to target another member. It will not be tolerated and you will be held equally responsible as the other member.
Using the Report Button or PM to the DT: If members have an issue with a post then report it and if it’s an urgent issue, PM any of the DT. Arguing in the thread won't help as the differing sides will keep seeing wrong on the other side. Quoting a post and telling the member it is reported is not allowed as it only fuels the argument.
No Mass PMs Allowed: No mass PMs by any fan group will be entertained. Members can PM the DT only on their own behalf and not for someone else
Sharing Personal Information
Do not share your personal information such as pictures, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers etc with others on the open forum. If you are sharing any information with an unknown person you are doing that at your own risk. The conversation that takes place in private messages, Facebook messenger between two people is between them and not to be shared in the open forum.
Social media updates
Srimad Ramayan is a new show and we have a dedicated forum to discuss the current on air show. Keeping this in mind DT would like to make the following clear:
a) Any personal tweets by anyone, even if it pertains to Srimad Ramayan are absolutely not acceptable in this forum .
b) We respect IF members’ privacy and would prefer members’ social interaction outside India-Forums (FB/Twitter/ Instagram etc) are not brought into this forum. Any such posts violating a member's privacy will be trashed immediately and a warning level will be increased.
c) Any social media content pertaining to the show & its discussion can be posted ONLY in the Social Media Updates thread opened by the DT.
TRP Discussion
Twitter/X trending topics such as TRP, spoilers etc can be posted in TRP Discussion thread or in the character's AT if it exists. Any TRP related topic opened in the main forum may be locked/merged in AT/TRP thread, and members who are indulging in this to incite fan wars will face appropriate action.
Reason: Trending topics inevitably results in popularity contests between the fan bases and leads to fights or counter topics. Such threads do not allow any room for healthy debates/room for discussion. Hence, it would be preferable such posts be made in the ATs itself or on the official social media thread. This decision is non-negotiable.
Use of Caps
Online etiquette demands that you avoid using caps and big font for an entire post, as it represents rudeness and loudness on a public forum. You can use caps to emphasize a word or two. But Using CAPS for all of your post is not allowed.
Use of Swear words/ Curses/ Profanity
The use of profanity is STRICTLY PROHIBITED on the forum. If members do come across such language, please do report the post. Redacted/*bleeped* words are also not allowed since the sentiment expressed will be amply clear to anyone who's reading. Given that this is a Mythological show which has strong roots in religion, this rule will be applied firmly.

Please understand that freedom in the forum is accompanied by an expectation of MATURE behaviour and CIVIL discourse and if these two are seen lacking, then such freedoms will also be revoked. Our primary concern is to keep the forum open for HEALTHY discussion and if members do not demonstrate a capability to indulge in healthy discussion with the present liberties, the DT reserves the right to amend the rules to help maintain a safe, inclusive and healthy space for everyone.
