@Arpita

A visitor's pass was recovered after the two Lok Sabha intruders were caught; photographs of the pass are with NDTV and it indicates they were issued by the office of Pratap Simha, the BJP MP from Mysuru. Any visitor must clear multiple levels of security before being allowed inside Parliament.

Shockingsmiley3 i hope now security will be more tightened. If someone is going in White House for a tour then also everyone gets background check and they have to pass through rigid checking, hope ind does something like that too

Allow me to offer my sympathy from Canada.

In September 2023, we had a "similar" incident. Yaroslav Hunka, age 98, was granted an invitation into our House of Commons because he lives in the riding of then-Speaker Anthony Rota. During his visit, he was applauded for his military service as a Ukrainian fighting for independence. Soon, the detail was noted that his volunteering for the Waffen-SS Galicia Division ~80 years ago had put him under Nazi command at a time when those who didn't enlist were at risk of forced labour under Nazi invaders of the Soviet Union.

Every soldier isn't a war criminal, and every protester isn't a terrorist, but still, appearances ...

Some of the arrested characters have told police they wanted to highlight Manipur unrest, unemployment and farmers' issues. Looks like they must have graduated from JNU and gotten practical training in pappu company.smiley36I hope these miscreants are put away in jail for a long time for using unlawful means to protest. We cant devolve into a state of anarchy every time some idiots want to protest.

this was also very unfortunate because it has deflected attention for now from the congress MP who was caught with the stash of 350 crores.smiley13
