Good damage limitation from South Africa in the last 10 overs. The platform was set for New Zealand to get close to 350 with wickets in hand, but Jansen, Ngidi and Rabada didn't allow them to get the final flourish. The trio executed their plans nicely, which included lots of change of pace, some wide yorkers and also good use of the short ball. But otherwise, New Zealand will be pretty happy with their effort. Some of their batters got a good hit. The likes of Conway, Latham, Phillips, who had missed out against Pakistan, scored runs here. Williamson also looked good again. The pitch had something in it for the pacers early on, with the new ball nipping around sharply, Once it got older though, it became much easier to bat and the shots flowed from those players. We'll be back shortly for the chase.
